Let's see...

G1:

Ark: crashed.

Nemesis 1: crashed.

Nemesis 2: crashed.

Ultimate Doom ship: crashed

Movie - Hot Rod and Kup's ship: crashed

Movie - Ultra Magnus's ship: crashed

Movie - stolen Quint ship - landed properly

Movie - stolen Quint ship - purposely crashed through Unicron's eye

Movie - Junkion ship - destroyed

Season 3 eps are fuzzy for me, it's 6 am.  but I'm pretty sure they crashed a bunch there too.

BW - Axalon and Darkside crashed.

End of BW - that ship musta crashed...well then again it was found in a hangar, so who knows.

BM - Botannica's ship crashed.

Armada - Minicon ship crashed, Bots and Cons used personal warp gates (i'm surprised when they arrived they didn't face plant out of habit)

Energon - don't really remember.

Cybertron, have only seen a couple eps.

but especially in G1, i mean, my god, didn't the academies have pilot training?

No, worst death HAD to be smokescreen with the Requim Blaster, but it was pretty cool seeing him die like that! :thumb

I'd say that in their Alt modes that the Insecticons were the smallest TFs, being that they ended up as the size of insects...

Not in the cartoon.

That's the problem with questions like these - you need to specify which aspect of the Transformers franchise you're talking about.

However, the Insecticons did indeed shrink to the size of earth insects in the comics, therefore they are the smallest transformers in any continuity (as far as I know).

Galvatron's death at the end of Time Wars.  it was at least one of the more memmorible.
