The Wreckers

I was looking through the "Art of Transformers" book, and it had a page dedicated to "The New Wreckers". I didn't even know there were old wreckers. Who are these people, and where did they come from? Several of them appeared to be the Bot-Con figures.

The Wreckers were an Elite Autobot commando team. Original line up were the jumptstarters Twintwist...and..umm...blanking on the others...but also Whirl, Roadbuster, Rack and Ruin (some siamese twin autobot) and originally led by this cool 'bot called Impactor. They appeared in target 2006 story arc. Springer, Broadside, and Sandstorm later joined and Springer also led them after Impactor got axed...

So do I get to keep my Tformer geek card guys?

No, sorry. The "...and..umm...blanking on the others..." ruined it for ya.

I think the only missing name is Top-Spin, although I believe that at the end of their first comic book appearance you can see some others in the background.

were genuine TFs that Furman decided to form into a team. Ultra Magnus was more or less alligned with them as well, which seems to have been carried over into DW's G1 comic. Impactor was not the only casualty though, all the Wreckers were killed during the Time Wars, except for Springer and Broadside. Along with Inferno and Skidz, and Carnivac and Catilla from the Mayhem Attack Squad, they formed the Survivors.

As for the New Wreckers, check this . It's the comics that artwork came from.

Why did Devcon have the little "laser" on his head. He looked like on of the sweeps. Had he been in anyhting before?
