Chromia looks to me (offhand) like they at least changed her head shape/face. Ironhide too.

They did change the head on the Arcee repaint. To match Moonracer. Problem is they thought Moonracer was Chromia. Thus the mess up on the name.

The pic maybe small but this is Chromia post-3103-1124491217.jpg

You mean like taking an existing similarity (SideSwipe, Sunstreaker and Breakdown all being Lamborghinis in G1) and then for no reason trip up an obvious naming scheme later for homages (making SideSwipe and SunStreaker Vipers and then naming the one badguy Viper Dead End instead of Breakdown)???

some people say that the set is half-assed but if it costs nearly $300.00 do make a set that is "half-assed", just imagine how much the set would cost if the exclusives were 3H quality.

if the set was 3H quality, would you still buy it even if it meant jacking the price up over $300.00?

uh.....i strongly dislike that deszaras!!

Bottom.........

OF THE BARREL!!!

Got an email from the Club:

Today we have loaded online all of the pictures of the 2005 BotCon set, stop by and check it out at botcon.com or transformersclub.com.

I have had a couple of questions:

1. The hotel is sold out, is there a alternate.

Yes,  We have made arrangements for a block of rooms a the Hampton Inn Frisco (about 1.5 blocks from the show).  You can call their toll free number at 866-751-8400 or you can do it online at hamptoninn.com and use the code TRN.  When you call in tell them you are with BotCon or Transformers and they will give you a very special rate.

2. The set looks great!  Can I order one if I can't come to the show?

Yes.  Just download the registration form at botcon.com and you want the Iacon package (non-attending).  Please remember that any non-attending packages ordered before the show includes shipping.  After the show (if there are any left) we will put them in the online  store at transformersclub.com/shop and the shipping will be extra.  Please note that for attending packages, we will stop taking checks on Aug 29 (we have to have time for them to clear). After that date, you must to use a credit card or cash.  We also don't take checks at the convention but there is an ATM in the lobby of the hotel.

3. How many sets are left?

Out of the 800 boxed sets there are just under 400 still available to be pre-ordered. We are over half sold out. The loose sets are over 2/3 sold out and you have to purchase a boxed set in order to get the loose set (one per boxed set).

4.  I understand that there will be some souviner figures at BotCon.  How can I get them?

Well, many times these items sell out at the show as we run a smaller quantity.  After the show, if there is anything left, we will put them online.  We do limit everyone on Thursday night so that each registered guest can have an opportunity to purchse these items.  The only way you can get them on Thursday night or Friday is you must be a registered guest.  If anything makes it until Saturday morning, it will be available to the General Admission attendees.

5.  Who are the special guests?

The first two guests will be announced on Monday.

Thanks for your support and we are looking forward to a great 2005 BotCon.  I hope you are as well.

"the set looks great!"okayyy, have they been snorting coke or something cause I certainly don`t think it`s great....more like a great steaming pile of crap.

what utter crap. and according to the club e-mail they've barely sold half of the 800 sets. this won't help.

HAHAHAHAHHHHAHA

dear lord what an absolute joke, i havent said anything derogatory about MC or the collection past the fact that buzzclaw was a godawful figure in my eyes but this is just asking for contempt.  So far all MC have done is do their utmost to prevent people from seeing the toy of primus which breeds resent especially from those outside of the USA where the magazine is prohibitivly expensive and now a massively lazy and laclustre set for botcon.  Not a good way to run a  business that is customer facing.
