Reading, in the general and toy thread, I have seen some thread about how tomy has take Takara and is going to deal the TF line.

 

WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING, HERE? I mean, everyone seemed to act like it was a well know fact, just making some guess for the future of the line. Could you explain me? I have seen no thread about that in the news, no explanation, no thread about "Takara buiseness go bad", "Bad rumor about Takara", "Takara bankrupt", "Who is the mysterious buyer", "Takara taken by Tomy", "Tomy suks", "TF is going to die", or any thing in that tone.

 

What is happening? I have missed thousand of threads? Have I just done a big misunderstanding? Have I entered the twilight zone? Could someone just explain me?

Up until now, it was a lowkey thing. it's the recent news that has people overreacting(Side note, but I've never seen a fandom so prone to panicing as the TF fandom is!). Takara and Tomy merged a while back, and it was announced a bit ago that Takara was completely absorbed. up until then, it was assumed for the most part that it was an equal merger, rather than one company buying another, I believe.

I wasn't mocking you, I was mocking those who are predicting and lamenting the death of TFs. :redface

As I understood, only one company could continue to operate under the merger, and that company was Tomy. Tomy has now absorbed and integrated with Takara and has the staff of Takara, making Takara Tomy. I don't think Takara has been disintegrated or destroyed at all, it's just they called heads and when the coin was flipped it came down tails. Takara hasn't been eaten up or anything like that.

yeah it been happening alot, sammy and sega, cingular and at&t, sprint and nextel, takara and tommy, squaresoft and enix, everybody's merging, look at energon rodimus and prowl, next will be usa and canada.....ok i just scared myself who wants to be american right now anyway  :clap  j/k

On topic. If this Takara/Tomy thing is anything like the Hasbro/Kenner take over this could either be a good thing or a bad thing. :schin
