I got GF Fastgunner the other day in the mail and love this figure but couldnt stand the large scud missile hanging off his shoulder, so today I simply removed it.  The process is not hard but it is a little tedious to get one of the pins out of the joints holding the left side arm in place.  I just removed the screws and slid the mechanism that the missile attaches to out and connected everything back.

 

I think this is a vast improvement over the original, and allows for a really cool bot mode without the heavy attachment of the missile.  I personally like this version better, but let me know what you guys think.

What's the process for getting the pin out?

Traditionally(?), the way to get those pins out is by bracing the piece well, and taking a tiny screw-driver or other "pin-punch" tool and a hammer and tapping the pin through. This, as you may know, is difficult, especially if you can't find a way to brace the part properly.

Personally, I thought he had something of a Stalker(Skyquake's tank-buddy) feel with that missile...

 

I'm also surprised why nobody's thought of redeco-ing him AS Stalker yet.
