You know how most of the recent Primes reincarnations have gotten various surnames. For instance, the infamous Fatimus aka E- OP, or the flattering (I guess) Bendy Prime aka A-Supercon Prime. Heck, the original, the one and only G1 Prime, which was never really called that until later series and now Robot Masters, can only be called that.

 

Anyway, post rant, I've been thinking about what to call GF- Galaxy Convoy. Most would call him awesome, but just to give him a name, I give him Gundamus, because it's pretty obvious that this Prime takes a lot from a certain giant robot anime. I mean, the Super Mode, Liger Convoy, and Sonic Convoy modes are not unlike the various backpacks from Seed. Then comes the under the arm blasters in the Super Mode, much like the Freedom's railguns. And finally, the chin, the most important part. No Gundam is complete without the tongue/chin (yes ever since my youth, I've always thought that those red things on the bottom of the heads of Gundams were their tongues hanging out!), had he come with a red "chin" instead, he would have been a bounified... GM (basically a mass produced gundam reject), since he's still missing the gold "crest" on his forehead.

 

Tell me if my rant is totally wrong, but I think there's a lot to be had here!

Funny thing is the original 'prime' head sculpt is verry different to the animated series and comics but the 'gundam' form was familiar to the animaters and possibly because of it's sucsess (78-81) it made a reference model to use, plus the original prime was "DIACLONE" a toy series from the same period although im uncertain if their was an animated series , but if their was it would not be out of the realm of possibilitis for the anime company to borrow the'gundam' form !

 

As for GF/C prime give him some lightsabers and throw him into Z or ZZ era gundam and ...YUP! , I think he'd fit in ! :roll
