I was staring at my G1 collection to find a good match for Devcon and came up with an unusual suggestion.

Snapdragon.

I feel that Devcon reeks of G1 so should match stylistically. A toy from Energon or BM just wouldn't fit. The criteria to have him transform correctly is that his feet form the top and back, and more importantly that he have large, obvious arms at the side. The trick is, you take Snapdragon, and have him be upsidedown. If you remove the nose and possibly wings, he would have a very similar profile. A good (albeit expensive) head would be to take a Scourge head and put Blurr's face in it. Finding a Snapdragon with no accesories is very common and cheap. Hope that gives ideas.

Best description of Devcon I've ever seen, to be honest.

:rofl Thanks, I needed that. I never really cared for Devcon, in fact I always considered him a worthless bum, worthy of the DW depiction of him as an autobot vagrant. :P But this puts him in such a favorable light that I can't help, but like the guy. Never saw him as a badass, but the bit about his aim and the fact that he was all about kick 'con tail prompts me to give him some reconsideration. :D

I'm shocked no one has thought about kitbashing him out of a Blurr figure before, I mean the head is an ideal base from the looks of it. The upcoming Cybertron figure (remold of Armada Blurr) is probably the most suitable place to start.

He's a bounty hunter. All bounty hunters are bad asses.

except IG-88, he was Boba Fett's Starscream.

I love my Scourge ... :tfsad ... oh well, thats an awsome idea, thanks!

-Diddly Jack :wtf

Yeah, but you have to flip him upside down. His then exposed chest looks like a potential cockpit and it would put his feet where they need to be. I'm not married to the idea, but I get a kick out of customs that don't use the obvious. ie Blurr or Springer.
