Cartoon-Accurate Soundwave, and kitbashes on Ebay

Recommended Posts

And finally, heavily Inspired by War Machine's Wheeljack, an Alternator Wheeljack made from Dead End, with head from VP:

....

...the head was made by me. Not VP. And I specificly asked him not to make anymore reproductions of that head because I didn't want them to be sold.

...

...Guess I'm going to have to talk to VP again....

Either please close down that auction or at the very least give credit where real credit is due.

don't be mad TFM, VP stated that the head was yours in another thread. :thumb

Indeed, the original post of D-Unit's WJ custom was posted yesterday in the ebay section.

http://www.TFans.com/talk/index.php?showtopic=29411

And I immediatly replied to the thread to give credit to TFM.  Also, I know better than to sell other peoples work.  I gave D-unit the head to help out a fellow kitbasher.  Charged him for shipping and material costs (no profit made).  Gave the head to another kitbasher (but by the request of TFM because he didn't have any casting materials at the time).  Just those 2.  Never sold or gave the head to anyone else.

It's all cool guys but like I said to VP the only real problem is credit needs to be given where credit is due.

Either this guy didn't get the hint or didn't care and when it comes to this line of work not giving credit to other people when they deserve it is a big NO NO.

I wouldn't do it to someone else and I don't exspect them to do it. It's just not cool.

If I had gotten a copy of VP's custom WW Grimlock I would have given him credit even if I did some moddifications or just use a part of his. It's a code some people need to learn and live by.

I'm not upset really, just thought I had this talk with VP months ago about giving out copies of that head, he said he only gave it to 2 people. Little did I know that both of them would be used for someone elses profit.

Remember people, the right new head sculpt can sell any figure.

Otherwise it's just another crappy repaint. LOL JK

But really...would you buy a third Armada Hoist repaint if it didn't have a new head? After awhile things get old and you just need to spice em up a little to make em like new again. Watch, it'll work for Cybertron Longrack... :tflaugh

TF MAster-

I apologize extremely.  I will shut down the auction, and I am really sorry i neglected to mention that before.  It was unintentional, and I respect you and am a big fan of you work.  I will cancel the auction, and or the record, I never wanted to sell it "for profit", the kitbash was originally made for myself, I just came up short on cash and I need textbooks for the fall semester.  Again, no disrespect or anyuthing intended, an honest mistake/misunderstanding.

thanks

Hey man. Don't worry about canceling it. Just go to ebay and revise the listing discription where it mentions who the head is made by.

That's all I really do ask. I don't want you to lose money either just for listing the auction. I'm not about you guys not making money, that's cool I do it too. Just make sure to give proper credit is all I ask.

Now, maybe you didn't say made by him but you said you got it from him wich makes people think he made it. If people would want that kind of work from me to customize them a head for their alt i'd like em to know where to go and who to ask other then having to do a search and persuing the wrong person.

You go ahead and make money off of it if you can...I didn't say to def close the auction just to do that or at least give the credit properly.

It's all cool dude. :thumb
