Because the Transformers comics were the only ones that made money, and they have to pay licensing fees and royalties to Hasbro with the profit they had.

Some things to note about purchasing anything from this deal.

1. All cheques (checks) must be drawn on a Canadian bank. You might be able to get away with using an international bank.

I am reading through the legalese at the moment... and contrary to reports on other TF sites, there ARE Transformers items up for sale.

Will post more in a bit.

OK basically here is the deal. Included with the lengthy Bill of Sale information is a product inventory list. Now there are some TF lots in there. There are also a bunch of "assorted items" lots that MAY contain TF items, but it could also just be a box full of staplers for all you know. Also has lots of convention flyers and posters. Also a couple lots listed as "Non-TF" which I find to be an interesting description.

The items are listed as box #, the description, further description, amount of items, individual price and total retail price.

If you want to purchase a lot, you have to offer a price. I imagine the offer is in Canadian dollars, considering it must be drawn upon a Canadian bank.

# - desc - desc2 - no - price - total

350 - Assorted Transformers - n/a - n/a - 213 - $2.95 - $628.35

765 - Optimus Prime Black TShirt - Medium - n/a - 35 - $15.95 - $588.25

766 - Optimus Prime Black TShirt - X Large - n/a - 72 - $15.95 - $1148.40

767 - Megatron Black TShirt - Large - n/a - 63 - $15.95 - $1004.85

768 - Optimus Prime Black TShirt - Large - n/a - 65 - $15.95 - $1036.75

769 - Megatron Black TShirt - Assorted Sizes - n/a - 24 - $15.95 - $382.80

770 - Megatron Black TShirt - X-Large - n/a - 72 - $15.95 - $1148.40

916 - Assorted TF Comics - n/a - n/a - 212 - n/a - $694.40

Since I don't have access to a Canadian bank, I won't be making any offers anytime soon... Oh the deadline is early August. After that, the product leftover will likely be destroyed.

so pretty mush no one in the states can get any of the swag that may be hidden in the boxes....that SUCKS . who has a canadian bank account :wtf  :wtf  :tdown

Why did they go under btw?

Seemed to be down to taking money out of the company at a time it could ill afford it.
