and hasbro fumbles the ball :tdown

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

How is this Hasbro's fault? Geez. Are they responsible for AIDS and world hunger too?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

it's more along the lines that hasbro thinks this is big news but still has yet to give anything tangible.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I would say that both the concrete release date and WHEN that release date is both make for a good announcement. July 4 means they want to play hardball.

We're go for Thanksgiving 2007!!

I was Close.

I think confirming that Michael Bay will direct, it's going to be released on July 4, 2007, and it will be produced by Steven Spielberg and Dreamworks is tangible enough.

BTW, there's quite a lot of positive reviews for The Island. I'm not worried about the screenwriters distracted by MI3 either. It doesn't take years to make a screenplay, you know. The movement to a summer release will guarantee more people (especially children) will be going, since it's summer in the US and Transformers will be an action-packed popcorn flick.

hmmm, at this point somethin g solid would be nice. a shot of the three big wigs in one room shaking hands, an actualt script writer, a sketch of a TF on a napkin, a promo picture, a website...SOMETHING! Over a year now knowing about this project and I have seen nothing solid from it ...blah

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Most movie projects take way longer thana year to materialize.

Transformers will be an action-packed popcorn flick.

We hope.  I had the same expectations for The Hulk, and nearly fell asleep for the first hour of the movie.  Here's hoping the robots don't stay "in disguise" as long as the Hulk did...  :tflaugh

I hope the movie goes right into action, not talking for an hour about there new forms and abilities. Either way, i expect it to be better than the original movie.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

yup. :D along with barney, michael jackson, and smurfs.

btw, my brother told me that last night on entertainment tonight, they had a spot about the upcoming movie. Does anyone else have any info on this, or is this just my brother being an idiot again?
