So why did hasbro decide to try and make Cybertron tie in with Energon again?

from the looks of the toyline, it seems Cybertron was always intended to tie-in with energon. it was probably takara who wanted a reset since most japanese giant mecha shows tend to get a reset every season(Super Sentai, Gundam etc). and since the tf cartoon is animated in japan, that gave takara more creative control over its development.

 

Ugh, the ending of Energon seemed pretty final to me...

I think that Hasbro just should've rolled with it and started over. It's got a good story on it's own, and obviously the characters are different. I mean, for as major of a player as Ironhide (shudder) was in Energon, for him to disappear is a complete WTF. And it seems that Hotshot has become YOUNGER, and not at all like the Hotshot from Energon. And what of Arcee and the Omnicons?

 

Anyway, I suppose it's a moot point considering that I still enjoy Cybertron despite all of that.

Galaxy Force has a few hints that connect it to Superlink in a special that came on a DVD that was released in japan. IMO, it's just a fan nod though. Not really in continuity.

-All the combiners minus Stormjet died rather unspectacular deaths.

-Scorponok died a lame death

-Mirage died an idiots death

-Galvatron once again defied his character development and sacrificed himself.

-The Autobots spent an episode deciding whether they should give their sparks to Prime to make him uber powerful.

-They did and it didn't actually matter as Galvatron can always be counted on to change sides when the chips are down.

 

 

It's been awhile since I seen it so everything I said is probably wrong as I could hardly maintain consciousness.

The Combiners Died a Cool death, Superion roket punched/ki8cked his limbs at Buildron, then stole his limbs, then Superions Brother comes in and saves him from Bruticus :thumb

Mega Zarak died a heroes death.

Shockfleet loyaly folowed his leader to the death

Galvatron flew into the sun becuse he want'd to be free from Unicron.
