Nice pics except you got the back wrong!!!

you see tghose 2 black plastic pieces on the clear plastic window part? they become neck parts.

1. Turn the frontwindow (and dashboard) 180.

-The back of the car should be above his head.

2. Push the black plastic parts attached 2 the clear plastic down

3. Pull the blackroof plastic and push it all the way back.

-the rear of the  car will fold as Skids/Ironhides back

4. Connect the 2 black plastic parts that are attached to the clear plasticfront window to the holes in the en of the front of the car ( where ihis head is at.

Now hes finished. the remaining seats can be stored in his back. (trunk)

srry guys, dont have a cam to show it :S

I do!  Great suggestion... I was wondering what those pieces were for!

Here's a pic:

Another, from a different angle:

From the side:

And finally, after playing with the back in the new configuration, I stumbled on this.  I am now willing to accept this mold as Ironhide:

Actually, after further investigation and a bit of "I hope that part is SUPPOSED to twist..." I finally found what I believe to be the ACTUAL proper configuration for his back:

Did you had to unscrew something to di that? or can it be done naturally?

Atleast there's an actual head behind the glass this time around. Instead of a creepy sticker.

Hey Gen Zero, can we get some back pics of the "Proper transformation" and maybe a back pic of the window face transformation?? Pretty please with sugar on top :ghey

Awesome, i wondered what the hell those pieces were for.

HOT!!! I have been wondering if there was a Windshield mod for this mold from the first sightings!!!

now if that were a real fig - would the windshield actually look good that way?!?!

i like Ironhide liek that

You forgot Lambor, Ravage(Battle Ravage) and Streak. What was Takara's name for g1 Ironhide anyway? I thought it was different. I know it's not Skids.

Takara didn't release the Ironhide toy back in the day; however, the character on the show was named "Ironhide".

And they "reissued" him in 2001. Named "Ironhide".

Clearify - do you mean the original G1 character was called "Ironhide" but used the "Skids" mold?  so when Takara reissued him as #4 that was actually "Ironhide" they reissued??

No. There was no Ironhide toy in Japan in the 80's, but they reissued the same toy we had outside of the collection series in 2001.
