I really don't care that much about the art--if the story is well-written and the art is serviceable, I'll read it. However, if the art is so bad that it detracts from the story, I won't read it. This art looks more than serviceable.

Quite frankly, if all I wanted to do was read, I'd buy a novel.  A Comic is artwork that tells a story, and quite frankly, this artwork, although better than I could ever draw myself, is considerably piss-poor.  And not to knock madhammer, but alot of fanart i've seen is fairly decent.... this is just pathetic in comparison.

you're right. there are a lot of guys out there whose work blows this away.

 

And you're totally right about the comic book thing -- if the artwork didn't matter then they would just write a book instead.

if you think Don & Guido's art looks puffy then you needc your eyes and/or your head checked. THEY knew how to draw Transformers. This new guy draws bad fanart.

2 the "While were at it lets colour them badly" comment is not wise seeing as Josh is a MOD for the art of this forum did quite a bit of it and hes gr8 and hes got his own style that many copie

good points:

 

omg they have thoght about scale when it comes to alt mode's cuz astro trains huge like he should of been

 

i like how some have classic alt modes (jazz, blitz wing and wheel jack) and some have what seem updates (prowl is now a 350Z and star scream has had a update)

 

bad points:

 

well the art quality seems to go from gr8 to ok IMHO not as good as DW did xample jazz looks gr8 but prowl looks a little meh his car parts look traced (im not saying it is) and the head looks a little poor and their pick of prime IMO looks meh i wish it looked a little less G1 and more MP1 e.g. the wheels on the side and the whole gut area.

 

this is all my just my views on the matter so if you dont agree well im not going to go all body count on you

Excellent, there's finally a Transformers comic for those of who respect realism in artwork.  I never read the DW comics, so this new series will be a fine way for me to start reading Transformers.
