Having to agree with you... as far as Megatron's go, this one lacks the serious firepower that the others had. G1 Megatron had a fusion cannon, Galvatron had a lazer cannon, BW megatron had either his tail-cannon/gun or his head-cannon. RID megatron had, hmm, swords, and... a gaint hand... Armada Megatron was a freaking tank! (Though not as nice as G2 megs imho) and Energon Megs had some cannons and looked boss.

 

Megatron LOOKS good, but, unfortuantely, Prime is armed a lot heavier than he is... which, well, personally, if someone should have the guns, it should be Megatron.

Definitely, DB. After all, Megatron was a gun in G1, so in a way, he's being de-powered for this incarnation. I don't know, I still think he's underarmed for a reason. I'm hoping that there's going to be another version of Unicron that will come out to fight Primus (hint, hint, Hasbro/Takara) and much like Transformers: Battlestars, Megatron/Galvatron will merge with Unicron (Dark Nova in Battlestars) to become something totally kick ass.

I've finally seen Megs in person. Maybe it's the new packaging but he is one beautiful bot up close. I saw him and prime and I was more impressed with Megs. I wanted to cry like a 4 year old when I had to put him back on the shelf

Update on this post. I now own Megs. He is incredible. Mor posable than the Alts. Hell 20th Prime! I found this pic on IRL. Thought he was a batmobile.

They look like there just cars. Must be a Japan series.

Won the GF version off eBay today.

 

The seller is located in my country so cheap shipping so the Megs will cost roughly the same what Cybertron Megs would cost me in the store here. (He is not available here yet.)

 

I like the mold but to me he does not make a good Megatron. The colors are just too bright and a car does not suit Megatron as an alt mode.  (Plus the meager weapons add to him not being a good Megatron.)

 

So I will treat him as an all new character especially since Energon Galvatron is so darn cool. He is an usurper trying to take over the Decepticons with his own army of renegades.

 

I was planning on using the name Master but right now Jihaxus sounds cool too.

 

Anyways, I am hoping to get him fast.  :tftongue

You should have waited. I'm looking at my Cybertron Megs and he is beautiful. His darker purple and teal come together way nicer than GF Megs. And Cy Meg's nose is the same color as his face :thumb

 

I Just want to say who ever out there is waiting for the Galvatron recolor, Stop depriving yourself. Go to the store now(if it's in MD they have to be everywhere) See this fig for yourself up close( I was in shock how cool he looks)

Now don't let me get started with his posability. God, This is a really posable Transformer. If he had a ball jointed neck and separated fingers he's be better than 20th Prime. Screw that he is way more fun to pose than 20th Prime. His ankles do give you a hard way to go though. They're like a good updated version of alt Hound's ankles. they click when you lean them foward and side to side.

 

Get him. I pick him up over Optimus(who I put on layaway yesterday).

IMO Cybertron/GF Prime = best prime ever.... aside from Masterpiece that is...  His posability for a leader class fig in addition to his awesome sculpt and cool features makes him one of the best TFs ever... again, IMO

Don't about you'll but, I wish the cybertron version of Prime came with a second cyberkey like the GF version does.

 

Megas, either way I want it...
