I second that.  But then again, I think it was ment to be more of a collections item versus a toy that a child sits down & plays with until something major breaks.

Prime is my favorite toy ever, hands down.  Nothing beats him

 

However I will say that I do not believe he is 1:24 scale like everyone contests to.  He is definitely smaller. I was in an old Prime styled full sized truck just yesterday (with the 80's style flat front cab) and a mid sized car is absolutely dwarfed compared to it.

 

Want proof? Put you alt/bt's next to him in car mode and compare tire size. Swindles tires are bigger then primes! Grimlock and Meister's are the same dimensions as his. In reality, a semi's tires are nearly twice the size as regular cars.

 

Despite this, I still think he is the perfect size and the best toy ever.

Can I add one more? If I can then I'd like to nominate Beast Wars Rampage/Metals Rampage/Botcon Shokaract as he is an excellent mold, good transformation, nice modes, probably the best transmetal vehicle mode, good articulation, a nice array of weapons and every single version of this mold has excellent colours.

MP Optimus Prime wins my vote hands down. There has been nothing like him before or since. THE BEST TF toy ever made.

Just want to add some more:

 

Energon Bulkhead: Both modes are good. Great super robot mode. Nice chicken walker. Combined chopper mode is lame though.

 

Beast Machine Battle Unicorn: Both modes are very nice for such a small toy. Few kibbles.

 

Beast War Neo Heinlad: We got an alarm clock.

 

G2 Dreadwing: Not sure whether he count since he is dreadwind and smokescreen combined. But he got great alternate mode and nice robots. Too bad that neither is that great on their own.

i nominate alternator smokescreen, his presence regenerated manys interest in the transformers line and shows why we love the alternator line

& MP-01 that I HAD TO HAVE! Those really won me back as a TFan Collector...
