In the past, Fan to Fan and LagunaL8 both did their own Binaltech translations. From now on, they're gonna do it together, with Laguna's friend KillerMel and me proofreading the translations.

Here's Wheeljack:

Bio

System description

Binaltech story chapter 11

Some notes:

1. Wheeljack's rank, "Tactical Diversion" (which is basically the same as Smokescreen's "Diversionary Tactician"), is taken from... Action Master Wheeljack. That's right. Ichikawa did the same before with Grimlock, whose rank is "Lieutenant Commander", like Pretender Grimlock.

2. Likewise, the "Laser-Strafer Rifle" is the weapon of Action Master Wheeljack's vehicle.

3. The "Cryo-Sword" could be a nod to a real-life tuned up 2005 Ford Mustang model, the Xtreme Mustang Performance... which is equipped with a "Tremec T-56 six speed cryo-treated transmission". And we all know what Wheeljack's sword serves as in vehicle mode. :D

4. The "Immobilizer" is referring to Wheeljack's invention from the G1 episode of the same name.

5. The name "Body Shop" is taken from Marvel UK issue 281, where Wheeljack has set up a "Body Shop" and is using it to repair previously destroyed Autobots. However, someone is sabotaging the repairs on Tracks - and that someone turnsout to be Grimlock, who hates Tracks.

6. Oh, and: Brawn died in the movie. :D

7. Wheeljack... maybe it was just a GT doppelgänger who died?

very cool

Interesting - in the system descriotion the bonnet is the same as the one used in the earlier Mustang *CONCEPT*

it's also missing the rear windows.

Anyone care to speculate on who the 'Omega' version Mustang is?

Whoever it is, I'd imagine it will be the forthcomming SVT Mustang

And before any says anything, 'Omega' Supreme seems kinda unlikely to me.

Soundwave perhaps?

Indeed, Nevermore has once again done his homework. Thanks for a fun read. Keep up the good work.

So did Hirofumi Ichikawa. :)

The one thing I'm most proud of is the collaboration between Fan to Fan and Laguna, which was to a large extent due to my initiative. And from what they told me, they had a lot of fun working together, so I guess that means we're gonna see more joint translations from them in the future. :)

Thank you and Ichikawa for this! This is great!

im guess the next alt/BT will be brawn, unless the name got changed int he translation.

brawn as the new mustang maybe?

the binaltech story is actually pretty good, it really deserves its own show and comic. and also lots more molds lots and lots more, no more three characters to a mold :redface, but its kinda cool how wheeljack is really swinging for the MAD scientist schit  :thumb  uber duber ? is duber a word???? good job drinks all round get the hobo to pay. wait thats me eek

So, if I get this right, there are 3 Wheeljack bodies, and this Ford is the Beta-unit? And the Alpha-body is his G1 body, And the Omega-body is yet to be released.

THis would also explain the second Prowl-BT we have been seeing. If Wheeljack is so intent on survival, and protecting the other Autobots, he would insist that the Autobots have back-up GT-bodies, especially those he has seen dead in his Vision of the Future.

And Windcharger's body might end up getting stolen by a Decepticon...
