I prefer to watch the shows and read the comics than buy the toys.

I enjoy the toys the most. I do love all of the shows and the movie is there for my nostalgia. Transforming robots just intrigue the hell out of me. It's just a winning idea, which is probably why it's stuck around for the last 20 or so years.

the nostalga, a hobby, a cool forum like this and keeping the child in me happy. just about covers it i think

When I was younger, I collected because the toys were fun to play with and the television shows were awesome- they made you WANT to collect the characters you loved.  Now, I think it has been a habit so long, and so many years of loving the characters (and their namesakes) that, for lack of a better word, it is a habit.  A good habit, though.  I couldn't tear myself away from it no matter how hard I tried.  I guess, to sum it up in one word, it is just, plain...fun!

(BTW, does anyone else find it amusing that "taz-bot" has come to be synonymous with "I Agree"?  :tflaugh )

For me the figures get better and better over time. I admit, Armada was in alot of cases, a step backward. They still sold well regardless. I dont need to even explain my obsession with ALT/BT. I cant stop looking at them or reposing them.
