lets stop the magnus being a bad leader stuff

Recommended Posts

in the movie ultra magnus had to make some decisions they were not good (such as the famed "i can't deal with that right now!" incident)

magnus knew what he was doing, he made the decision to face unicron head on and didn't run when he knew that those with him were in danger of being destroed upon Junk.

The reason many do not view him as an ineffectual leader is because he abandonned kup and hotrod and the dinobots. HE HAD NO CHOICE! the decepticons had already shot their ship down, he needed full concentration upon keeping his crew alive and to make sure that the matrix could light their darkest hour, sure he got shot a few times and then just blew up but, look at springer, he got destroyed by a vacume cleaner for goodness sake.

i agree magnus did not even want to be leader

well the whole purpose of his character in the movie was to point out the need for a "chosen one"... so naturally he wasn't going to live up to the Optimus Prime standard. I don't think he should be expected to have been a good leader; the point was for him to not be that great, or at least not the best choice.

Rodimus didn't want to be leader either.  Magnus is not as bad as people say.

After all, he was Optimus Prime's first choice and Optimus didn't hesitate to

pass the matrix to him.  Also in season 4, Magnus kept his high rank while

Rodimus went back to being Hot Rod.

Magnus wasn't a bad leader. If you take a step back and look at it, he simply had a really bad day.

The guy had a lot of really bad days. :tflaugh

Blot, ain't nobody wants to be leader except for optimus.

Magnus would have been my only choice to be the new leader of the Autobots. But as history shows he never lasted.

and RID Magnus would have made a great leader.  Whenever there was trouble, he'd just drive up and help.  Even if they were in the middle of a jungle, he was always right there, for no apparent reason. :thumb
