Inverse Alternator Sunstreaker...

Recommended Posts

A while ago, I thought I saw an Alternator Sunstreaker created using the Deadend mold...but the silver stripes were just painted yellow...(instead of the black being painted yellow...)

Does anybody have pics of this custom...I have an Alt Deadend I want to make into Sunstreaker, and I remember really liking the inverse black/yellow look...

Thanks in advance...

Now, thats what I was looking for!  Thanks...I'm about to try that myself!  Did you just paint over the silver stripes, or did you remove them first?

Looks awesome though...I think I like it better than the traditional Sunstreaker look...

i like that too, looks good, my only complaint would be the pink windows and lights still look funny but i think that about them on de as well so no big deal

Oh my heavens no ... black accented with yellow?  Ker-chunk!  Tuner no-no.

+1 for the simplicity, though.

I did it this way because I liked Dead End's black too much to paint over the entire car in yellow and have black stripes over it.  It's not about simplicity or the yellow over black tuner taboo, I just liked the look, and I think the red windows and lights seems to fit somehow.

In terms of how I did it, I painted yellow on top of the silver stripes.

Well I happen to like it and its original in concept. Who cares about the tunners crap. The black body works better with the red windows. Imagine how red windows would have looked with a yellow body. Not as good. So without clashing the colors of the windows too much with the paint scheme, this method works quite well and makes for a simple but effective way to create a Sunstreaker Alt.

It's not bad, but I still get too much of a "Dead End with yellow stripes" vibe from the vehicle mode.  Maybe if the clear plastic was clear or blueish instead of red it would be ok.

It's all a matter of taste, I think the lights and the windows look good with the red tint.
