Universe Cyber Power Supreme Giftset 2-pack?!?

Yeah, those. But I'm pretty certain they were going to be released under the Universe banner as Piranhaking. What a shame.

They might have been planned with Universe in mind, but I guess that Wal*Mart wanted them to be "Energon" due to their past, not-so-good experiences with Universe exclusives (desert camo Ruination and sorts).

I see how that could be possible. That spagetti camo Ruination has got to be the most hidious thing I've seen since G2 Bruticus. I'm not suprised it didn't sell.

Poor Bruticus. It's like Hasbro likes making fun of him. :tfsad

Oh, cool, $100 seems a pretty reasonable price for those two, especially considering I never got either the first couple times around.

Although, having actually gotten the Overload/Optimus Cost-co two-pack, I'm suddenly very worried about the colouration.

...but that's why I've got paints, I suppose.

damn, how badly must the more recent crop of tf toys have sold for hasbro to rerelease omega prime again?

If it actually gets re-released, I wouldn't mind.  I haven't gotten around to getting them yet in any paint scheme.

Nooo! Not re-release. Repaint. Something totally different in color would be cool. Not yellow though. :thumb

You know, it's not too hard to find either of those guys, the original versions, for $20-$25 a piece.  Why anyone would pay twice that for a repainted 2 pack is beyond me... unless it was a really cool color scheme, which I doubt...

*looks at Universe Optimus Primal*  :puke

Whoever pays $100 for a repaint of two figures that have been released twice already is out of their mind.

Or has no access to any other versions of him, or prefers getting a boxed version.
