Question about ALT-KB BATTLE DAMAGE

Recommended Posts

what is the best way to do battle damage detailing on an

Alt figure.

I am thinking along the lines of DW-TF style. But also maybe some rust spots, stress fractures.

I have used some super glue in the past to create "abrasions" and then painted them with bits of black and silver

Used Dark red/brown/black for burns

Any other suggestions?

Okay,

for cracks and such, I recommend using a Sharpie marker (the one with the really small point.) This way, you get precise lines, and you can control how the cracks go. (and if you mess up, a quick swipe with some alcohol and you're good to go!)

as for rust spots, just go with some rust-colored paint. rust need noit be extensive, and you can always remove it if it's too much.

that's not funny....

I read on a Gundam site once that for burn marks, burn a little bit of paper and rub the paper ash on the spot that you want the mark.

For bullet holes heat up a pin and shove it into the plastic and then using the burn mark tecnique to add detail.

I have never tried any of these but I have seen the effect.

That last one just sounds really cool. Another way you could do the cracks is by using an Xacto knife to carve them in.

kinda risky if your nt sure on the cracks, onces there placed theres no turning back. But yes a sharpie marker would be good. i prefer to use a gundam marker, they rub off easily withing the first 10 seconds of applying and they are very, very fine.

or make sure the paint burns up when applying

that happened to my Smokescreen
