What are your thoughts?

I vote for Pokemon because , in my opinion, it seem more widely known.

P.S. I am NOT asking which is better.

Pokemon is more widely known because it was a MAJOR fad. All the kids at some point were obsessed with it just lead to people knowing it more. Then there's that annoying yellow rat...

I think it is a tie. Everyone seems to have heard of both these days.

pokemon its was the big thing a few years back plus its had like 3 movies god knows how many toys and card games and a show that wont just die off

Actually It's about to have 9 or 10 movies in Japan.

You have to understand that there is a 20 year gap. So, while pokemon might be more widely known, it's simply because it's more in it's current hay day.

In TF's hay day, there wasn't anyone who didn't know what they were.

Right now, Pokemon.

I'd say that the same numbers of people know about both, however Pokemon would be an everyday reality in more peoples lives because of it's more recent popularity.

Pokemon without a doubt.

in the 80's it was definitly transformers. rediculous cartoon shows DID NOT exist.

in the 90's it was obviously pokemon unfortunatly with their brainwashing themesong. Trust me, my whole school was centered around it for a good portion of my 7th grade year.
