question about G1.

Recommended Posts

In the show they didn't bend, the robot exoskeleton turned into a control room where the Nebulans sat in chairs in front of a large screen.

just exactly how big were the exo-skeletons in the cartoon?

Not much bigger than the Nebulans. Major mass/size change when they turned into heads. Daniel's actually was his exo-suit from the movie.

god, not another f***ing disparency that was writen off as "sub-space". i bet the G1 writers thought that their drug induced hallucinations where the result of their souls leaving their bodies and entering sub-space, as well.

so, let me get this strait. the toy versions of the headmaster/targetmaster/powermaster companions are designed to fold and bend in completely inhuman ways, yet, they're portrayed as being organic in both the japanese and american cartoons?

No Hornet...

In Japan the Masters were not Human during the Headmaster Series. They were smaller robots from the planet Master. The inhabitants of Master were once from Cybertron, but had fled to Master during the start of the Civil War. They had Full-Scale bodies which they controlled for labor, war, and other things, but the heads, engines, guns were all small robots.

In Masterforce the Masters were humans who used the magical/mystical devices to make them Head and Power Masters. Completely different than what had happened in the Headmasters series.

He was talking about the US comics and Masterforce.

In the Japanese Headmasters cartoon, there were no "Nebulans". The Headmasters were small Transformers who had build larger robot bodies for themselves and transformed into those robots' heads.

...and i just went cross-eyed.

I know Don...

I just wnated to make sure he knew that not every Master was a Nebulan or Human or whatever in Japan incase he didn't. I wasn't trying to push it all off as a dick. I was just trying to inform him.

He knows about the Headmaster series. He started this thread because he just learned of the Nebulans yesterday in another thread. Although your input will sure to be helpful to someone else. :thumb

As for mass changing, it may be possible to "store" stuff in subspace. I mean were do all of Soundwave's cassette's go?

In the computer game Star Trek Voygager Elite Force a mobile transporter is used to store a weapon in a transporter buffer. That way one does not have to drag weapons around and has both hands free. One can also carry several weapons.

Transformers may have discovered something similar. So mass changing is not that far off.

I think that the bots like soundwave are only collapsing when transforming, and their the same weight in both modes(maybe nanotech or the like). Their bodies are more detailed than our puny human minds could comprehend, so it's really possible.
