Favorite "WTF?" G1 moment?

Recommended Posts

I just had a WTF moment while watching More than meets the Eye Part 1 again. Dont know if some one wrote this but on the bridge of the ark while everyone is fighting, Soundwave is laying lifelessly on a controller panel. But as the camera scrolls to the right you see Soundwave again standing up.

It was, er, um, one of Hound's illusions! Yeah, that's it.

I that case, Hound was working OVERTIME through out the entire G1 series. Those poor, poor artist must have been working like slaves for hours with no sleep or food. "FINISH PAGE NOW!! OR NO DINAH!! Hasbro pay for 16 episode by next week, Hasbro get 16 EPISODE!" *Wip crackles* "Oh damn it! Thundercracker suposed to be in this scene. But I color him like Starscream again.""Shhh! You betta just run wit it! I'm hungry!"

LOL, I always figured Hound with his hologram ability and Mirage with his invisiblility AND IMAGE CASTING ABILITY that he never used on the show but his bio indicated he has the ability to make himself or something else appear elsewhere) had an unspoken agreement to generally jack with the decepts.

Make the seekers look like each other. Stuff like that.

My favorite WTF moment was on the first/second episode where Cliffjumper and Hound are looking for Megatron and his goons.

When Cliffjumper pulls out that "oversized" gun. I'm mean, what the hell was up with that? :eek

As for animation errors, one of the ones I can clearly remember is one from "The Five faces Of Darkness" (Part 1 I presume) where the Decepticons were fighting each other for some Energon Cubes. The Combaticons were all there: BOTH individual modes AND merged as Bruticus!  :eek (or was it Battle Gaia?).

As for irrational plot: Triple Take-Over wins three awards (to keep up with the thematic of the episode). Blitzkreig using a football coach as strategist? Astrotrain making an army of train-drones? Well, in part this last one makes more sense than the coach.  :tfmad

How about the constant size inconistency of season 3? The gestalts must have been going through shrinkage. They were as tall as the other guys all the time!

or Mini-me made them!! :D
