Wheeljack's invention range from all of those.

He has some great ideas that either fall into enemies hands and/or backfire on him.

He designed and engineered the Dinobots, but in Heavy Metal War he brings out this big shoulder bazooka that just blows up on him.

really not trying to take this too seriously

EDIT --- My Sig's Professional Opinion is Ignorance this time.

im sorry to say that i had to choose the unlogical choice, crunchy in milk seemed too good to give up. but i  :pfx with dm's statement. he had a range of them good and bad, but they had one thing in common, they all stayed crunchy in milk.

have you tried to eat the cereal within the first five minutes, oh wait when you went to my house you ate the hole box of frostd flakes, i presume that they'd get soggy by the time you finished. but yes im sure wheeljacks ultimate goal is to find a soggy cereal repelent.

Wheeljack's inventions are so great they don't have to work right.

Even the Dinobots wound up in Decepticon hands! That's sad. BT WJ designed the Mustang body, so he's not too kooky. Isn't it funny that he made the Dinobots and Grimlock's new body?

I think that's what the writer of the Binaltech story was going for.

wheeljack made some good and some bad things they sometimes worked and sometimes didn't like the immobiliser for instance

Genius and madness are very close, and that little tiny spot whererthey cross over into eachother is called "Wheeljack".
