I just recently compared G1 Starscream's and G1 Skywarp's tech spec and I saw that Skywarp's specs was either equal or higher than starscreams! :eek

 

 

So,but the deciding factor is Rank,and Skywarp was higher!  :eek (SW was 9,SS was 7)

skywarp was a practical joker, and while intelligent, he is still a dumbass at heart. oh yeah, and way less ambition to rule.

It was a screw up on the Stat Numbers...

Bob Budiansky (guy who helped write most of the 1st 2 years of Tech Specs) said it was a screw up.

intelligence doesn't make up for a lack of common sense, thundercracker would have made a good leader if he wasn't so unsure of himself

Wasn't the only screwup. The bios for Sideswipe and Sunstreaker were reversed. If you read the bios from more than meets the eye(check Unicron.com character pages for Sideswipe and Sunstreaker), they continue the error there, by saying something along the lines of "Sunstreaker feels that Sideswipe's appearance is marred by the protruding engine on the back"

 

I think there were others as well. The tech specs for Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime appear to be reversed.

Yeah The Autobot Twins screw up is common knowledge.

Starscream and Skywarp got ALL their numbers screwed up. Stascream is described to be the fastest of them all, yet Skywarp got higher numbers in the "speed" field.

 

And Sunstreaker and Sideswipe probably got their molds swapped rather than the tech specs.

Thank God Sideswipe and Sunstreaker were mixed up. I don't think I would of liked Sideswipe as much if he looked liked Sunstreaker.
