an alternate theory to the whole

Recommended Posts

sorry for the seperate thread but most people hardly ever want to discuss my theory when i post it in a thread. i figured it would get more attention if i made a thread for itself.

my beleif is that a spark is not a tf's soul but is actually a tf's true form. does any one understand the concept of incorporal energy life forms? basicly, they're life forms that are made up of pure but intellegent energy. this concept comes up semi frequently on star trek. so the mechanical creatures we recognise as the tf's are artificial host bodies that the sparks inhabit for both protection and as a means of interacting with the physical world.

what do you think?

I can see your point, Hornet, and I'll use an episode of BW to back up my point. You can already tell which ep it is.

When Starscream invades Waspinator's body, his personality overrides Waspinator's -- with two sparks in the same body, and Starscream's spark being dominant, he maintains his G1 persona whereas Waspinator is not conscious of what's going on, or so we'd assume. So we can assume that a TF's body is just a vessel for their consciousness/being, if this is the case.

THe Allspark sends out sparks to retrive info and bring it into the Allsparks consioisness.

THe Allspark sends out sparks to retrive info and bring it into the Allsparks consioisness.

then let me ask you this, what is a spark?how do you define it? how can you tell what it truly is?

But we're not talking about the Allspark, BooB.

I like it...That's pretty Close to what I liek to think.

I view the Sparks as basically their true essence.

IMO The Spark dictates roughly 70% of the personality and it retains all memories, experiences, intellect, and wisdom gathered/created by the Braincore. The Spark also dictate special abilities, such as Teleporting, Magnetism, and other powers. (this is how it is alluded too in DW continuity as well, and BW's every Spark is unique and can never be replicated backs it up to an extent)

It makes sense that a TF can only die if the Spark/Lasercore is destroyed. I like it and it even works for G1 stuff too, even if it's Ret-Con.

bumping the thread because no one is discussing my theory.

transformers don't need souls...  how many millions of years do they live for anyways... i'm sure it get boring after a while though.

wether or not they NEED them, doesnt mean that they dont have them.

:punch

And hornet? Your theory about the sparks being the true form of the TF, is a different concept from a soul, in what way exactly?

I was under the mistaken religious impression that a soul was the true self of a person, and these earthly bodies are mearly shells.

i have to agree with marcusprime.. tats how souls are most likely to be explained...
