In the original series, these two giants were created by a Nebulan and a human. They never recieved life from Vector Sig or any other means. (Comic story excluded) Does anyone know if the Japanese version showed either of these to be their own character or just controlled by their Headmaster counterparts?

In Japan I know that the heads themselves were small robots, the larger bodies had no mind of their own.

The problem with creating sentient robots whose sole purpose is to be a giant rampaging robot / shopping mall is . . . what if they don't want to be any of those things?

Oh, yeah. They were created to sell toys, too.

which brings up an interesting question...

did Scorpy or Fort Max HAVE a shopping mall in them? Or perhaps a gift shop?

Its a valid question to which I demand an answere. Also perhaps FortMax had a Starbucks in his food court. You never know.

Yes, in Japan. The smaller head robots were the real robots. The came from the planet, Master. And were all originally refugees from Cybertron who had left before the big Autobot-Decepticon conflict got too bad.

They developed smaller bodies for actual life and the larger ones were for labor, war, and other things (if I remember right).

Anyhoo...the larger bodies were the full Transformer, but the actual minds and such came from the smaller robots.

If you think a shopping mal in you leg is bad, wait untill you get toilets installed.

I thought that the comic versions where TFs who got their heads rebuilt on nebulos already where working TFs and just got adjusted there. The rebirth Max had the already functioning Cerebros as a head, so maybe he was just an enlarged version of him. As for Rebirth Scorp... I don't know, he was just a pimped nebulan.

fort max gone sdf1 o man lol...

would u rather live in a giant autobot or a flying transforming city??
