The China Transformer TMall site has posted the full reveal for the Takara Transformers Masterpiece MPM-12 Optimus Prime Bumblebee Movie action figure that was announced previously. The figure is shown much as we had expected as an upscaled leader class release of the SS38. This figure does look a bit more Masterpiece with a more detailed color scheme and additional accessories. The official Honda Japan Twitter account has revealed our first looks at the Transformers Masterpiece Skids action figure. The prototype images show us that we will be getting an official Honda City version of Skids. While I'm happy that Beast Wars fans are getting updates to some of their favorite characters, Optimus Primal feels like a lot of work for very little in return. Some steps of the transformation are needlessly complex and fiddly, a simple leg fold would've worked better than a double knee. Playing with the figure really makes me appreciate just how great the original Primal toy was, and I recommend picking that one up if you've never experienced it. -
