No Transformers blog is complete without the occasional rant about auctions, that is after all where most of us still get our toys, especially vintage. Whether it’s through eBay, Yahoo or a proxy bidding service, most of us have had bad experiences and taken chances that haven’t worked out. So here is my first auction rant of 2014.

I think its cool that it has homemade stickers. Adds some charm. Its like in some other things I collect like video games. Kids write their name on them and I won't ever clean it to take that off. It was a part of some kid's life and its like owning a part of someone's past.

 

And thinking about the "decade and a half" on Ebay. It seems ridiculous that some of us has been on Ebay that long. I just past my 16th year (I think, my join date is December 1998) and it is kinda unbelieveable. Our parents or grandparents have no way to relate what it is like to be in an online community since there wasn't such a thing when they were growing up. Did anyone think they would be a member of some website for 20 years? In 4 years I will be.
