Ah the Classics seekers, they have lived a turbulent life. Originally banished to TCC BotCon set when Hasbro insisted they would never be offered again. We saw them fly off to Henkei land after many paid dearly for the BotCon set. Now, the shackles come off the whole force with the reveal of a possible Asia Exclusive set featuring six of the Classics / Henkei seekers action figures. There's just an illustrated image now by way of Planet Iacon showing Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp and the Coneheads so stay tuned for the intimate details that will bring joy and sadness to the fans. Why would they be crying now? Why would this be sad news? We finally got all the seekers at mass retail. I may pick this up for my nephew, but I personally won't be in any heartache as I got all my seekers. Just need to get a few of the CHMS ones.

I'll hold judgement until we see pics of the figures, but yeah I already have all the seekers like everybody else, so this is not needed

The sadness is for those who have the 2007 BotCon set checking the current worth on eBay. Glad I ditched mine when I found out Thrust was being released :tflaugh

a set just sold for $600 2 days ago... Not seeing how the price dropped after the mass released seekers came out.

  • 2 weeks later...

This is cool for anyone who missed out previously (don't have a Skywarp or Ramjet myself) but it'd be much cooler if they didn't limit it to the original 3. To do it right they need those, the Coneheads, AND Sunstorm, Acid Storm, and Icestorm. I'd drop cash on the full 9 figure set.

Honestly this is cool for anyone who missed out since you get a set and don't have to wait or hunt for them individually. I would think that they would release another box set of the coneheads next. I would buy one of acid storm, sunstorm and icestorm.

Did they do a legit Sunstorm release? I thought the only Seeker released in Sunstorm colors was a KO.

    • While I do agree that there's more 4's and 5's in the votes here than probably should be, I don't agree that Hasbro gives us trash. But that's subjective. I do quite often find myself questioning the high votes some things get. And while I might seem like I just love everything sometimes, I really don't. I just don't hate everything (except for the upcoming RiD Tow-Line and Crasher from Kingdom Mirage and the Kingdom Mirage retool in general) and have a sort of understanding of the whole process and why things are the way they are for better or worse.  But what problem do you really have with Dreadwing though? I mean, it's easy to just call things trash but what is it really that bothers you? I'm just kind of curious.
    • I've seen the sisters go for as low at around $80 but even that was too much for me. Now I'm kind of regretting not getting them back then. I'll find them for the price I want eventually. I seem to do that quite frequently actually. Just need some patience and I have plenty of that. I've found quite a lot of stuff for stupidly low over the years. Nothing like picking up Botcon figures for less than they would've been at standard retail. And I don't mean from the Funpub going out of business sales either. But sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and accept the inflated prices. I have to really, really want the figure and haven't seen it cheaper in a LONG time though like I had to for UW Convoy Grand Scourge. Even then I still managed to get it for the lowest price I've seen in years. I gotta admit that I've been picking up older figure more lately too. Like just this past two weeks lately as I haven't wanted any older figures in years. I'm well past the point in my collecting where I only want one representation of each character. I just want good toys. I want different characters and molds as well. Sometimes I want every deco of a mold. So I just picked up Universe Hound, FoC Blaster, the first two redecos of WFC Optimus Prime as I already have the third and so on. Now I'm looking up Henkei Ironhide and Ratchet but not really interested in their Universe counterparts. I had both and they both had shitty paint on the translucent plastic which was common back then. Probably didn't help that I got them both used instead of new. Same with the Prowl I got with them. Now I'm searching for Rapido or Streetstar just to have at least one of that Universe 2.0 mold.
