For many of us, the Beast Wars came and went in three seasons of CGI goodness produced but the folks at Mainframe. Over in Japan, the Beast Wars took a different direction moving into a whole different timeline with new characters and line-drawn animation instead of CGI. The Beast Wars Neo and the subsequent II were the shows that gave us Big Convoy and a slew of new characters. Takara Tomy is bringing it all back with a new DVD re-release of the series that is now out in Japan for a retail price of 23,940 JPY / $307 USD. See the DVD details, images and more now. I wonder if it will have English sub titles, since Takara does know we will import it.

Thats a requirement for me too. I mean I would still get it either way if it were cheap enough, but probably not even watch it.
