I had my friend Paul King at Defiant Model Creations replace the LED with a green one, but it was still lackluster. He convinced me to let him put in two LED's, one for each eye, and now he looks much more sinister. Light bleed was a concern I had, and he took care of that as well. He also converted the button on his head into a slider switch for "always on" operation of the eyes. None of that blinking crap.

I have the Takara 2010 version, and I wish they'd put green LEDs into that... Why has it alqays gotta be red damnit!? :argh

Exactly. With a faint, blinking, single LED, it just doesn't incite the fear that Unicron demands. :) I'll tell Paul you said "awesome job" since it wasn't me that did the work.
