Question about G1 Reflector

Recommended Posts

Ok, so I managed to finally get ahold of Reflector(only missing 1 missile) for pretty cheap and my thing is I know he wasn't offered until Year 3 as a mail away but was only featured in Season 1 of the cartoon. So my question is: For those who have him do you display them with your Year 1 stuff or with Year 3? I personally have him displayed with Year 1 but I like to sorta keep everything with their respective years. I just find it odd that Reflector wasn't offered until 2 seasons after he appeared on the show.

Also, I am in the market for Trypticon..how much is too much for him Loose Complete?

Displaying him with your season 1 figures makes sense to me. That's how I'd do it.

I've seen complete loose Trypticons range anywhere from $80-$150 depending on condition. I gues it depends more on what you're looking for and what actual value the figure has for you. If it's worth it to you to pay $150 for one in decent shape then by all means pay it. If you can accept lower quality at a lower price that's cool too.

:agree

The only problem is Trypticon's I have seen sold are now going up to the $300+ range. Which sucks but it's also one of the last few remaining G1 figures I need for my collection. I have also noticed that PRices on G1 figures are starting to rise again.

WOW!

Trypticon has gone way up in the last couple years. The last time I really checked him out was shortly after ROTF cause a buddy of mine wanted one. Transformerland.com had one complete C7 (missing some sticker, electronics didn't work) for $80. Heck, he had a bot only with working electronics for $15 and one where the electronics didn't work and a broken foot for $10.

Good luck in your hunt my friend. These things go in cycles and I'm sure there's still deals to be found.

I know, it is ridiculous how these things flux. I tried looking on Crave.com and it seems like it is only 1 guy selling the stuff, so I'm not going to rish that. Plus I have heard bad things about that website.

Honestly, if you're patient, I'm sure a G1 Trypticon reissue isn't that far off. They've re-released just about everything else. If you can wait until that comes out I'm sure it'll drive down the price of the originals. At least it did for my Omega Supreme.
