Online Price Confusion

Recommended Posts

Hi folks, I recently have been looking at sites online and i am truly confused by some prices.

Why would 1 sight sell WFC Soundwave for 44$ for instance when its half that on ebay and i have seen tons at a local Walmart.

Is there something I am missing, how does one know if something is rare or worth gettings tons of from a local store incase they have alot instock.

Thanks

Simple: scalpers and those that look to oversize their profit. WFC Soundwave is not worth that much, and I doubt he ever will be, but all you need to do is find the 1 person willing to pay your asking price.

Don't be too concerned about making money off your plastic investments; they're toys, not stocks. G1's are the only things that will actually increase in value, aside from a few new figures, making it rather useless to buy a lot of a certain toy in the hopes of earning anything other than some joy from them.

whats sad is that people will probably shell that out just after you quit seeing soundwave on the shelfs because they missed out and there isnt any easy to find legitimate listings.

I think you mostly right but I also think other lines have the potential to continually increase in value over time. Such as Alternators and the original run of Classics.
