Yeah, I just picked up this tf for a friend off ebay for $20. It claims to be a G1 Shockwave "gray" version. It's looks to be in pretty go condition only missing his small gun or something. So faithful "TF" fans, did I do ok or get dooped. Here's a pic.

I'm pretty sure it's a fake

Hmmm...well, it's not a genuine G1 Shockwave (there is no Gray TF variant) but it does look like the Radio Shack no-name version with a 'Con sticker on it.

But you did only pay $20, so that's not too bad. Pretty good actually.

False advertising, but you really won't be able to get a decent G1 Shockwave for $20.

Yes, it is the radio shack version. It is not a transformer per say but this was one of those transformers that was not made by hasbro or takara but made by another toy company. Much like Jetfire was made by another. So it is not a fake but it is not a transformer by name.

That's known as "Shackwave", because it was released by Radio Shack. And even though it was not a Hasbro product, it was fully licensed as far as I know... Basically, a fully licensed knockoff. :)

Hahaha, I asked the same question a few months ago.

Thanks to everyone that responded. I thought it was lil weird that is was gray and not purple, but the other things he was selling seemed legit. Oh, well, thanks for the info, I appreciate it.
