On a side note, I find those Dinobots interesting. I've been wondering what it might be like buy some G1 junkers and give them new life some paint.

For one, No other combiner would want to mess with that.

Seriously, this proves it "TFWiki: The Beast". I don't even think Predaking would stand a chance against him, even though Im sure he would probably do better than any other combiner XD.

 

On a side note, a few months ago a few people did some Dinobot combiners and one of them looked kinda like this 3d model...well except the head, the head was totally different and they only used the 5 original dinobots.

 

What I don't understand is that there is a 6th dinobot named Paddles, however he was buried in a battle with Raze. So if one was creative enough, they could make a combiner based on all 6 dinobots and state the reason as to why they do not combine in g1 is because they are like devastator and are composed of not 5 but 6 components. This would also explain as to why The Beast is so savage, it is because they are missing Paddles who would had normally formed the processing unit of the gessult. This is why Grinlock was so reluctant to form the beast, because he knew the combination would be unstable and deadly but he did not know it would be that deadly.

man, i don't think this topic will ever die. I bet in the 4/5 years i've been around i've seen this topic at least 15/20 times.

 

i like the idea of the dinobots combining, hated the energon swoop and grimlock combiner, but if they ever did combine it'd be like a pissed off godzilla destroying everything in it's path. hell, i think trypticon would even be smarter than them.

 

damnit, now i wonder if the other posts are still around? ok, that's it, i'm going to start a gallery and post every image of the dinobot combiner I can find, kitbashed or drawing. so if you have pics saved or a link to some, pm me and i'll get this thing started.

Because it's a exception to the five-team combiner pattern seen in the G1 cartoon and the first two years of toys. Every other group or team with five members and its own "-bots/-cons" subteam name combined. People see the pattern and their brain says "So logically, there must be a Dinobot combiner too." The fact that there isn't just leaves a memetic hole where said combiner should theoretically exist. And where there's a hole in a pattern, people love to speculate on its shape and how it would be filled.
