Okay, I haven't heard anyone talk much about this topic, nor have I heard any upcoming news about the guy, but hey...are we getting a larger movie Springer toy? And...was he originally planned for the flick, but ended up being dropped? We got a Legends and Robot Heroes version of the character...most people knew this way before anyone saw the new movie. I personally assumed he'd be in the film and was kinda disappointed when I didn't see him (why would a non-movie 'bot get two toys in two lines pretty much dominated by characters only in the actual movie). So, anyone out there have any news about any larger (preferably Voyager class) figures planned? Anyone out there heard any stories about him being planned for the film but never used...or something along that line. Any help or info would be great...I'm dying of curiosity, here!

Two toys in two lines? You mean the Target exclusive 2-pack Universe Springer with Ratbat? I'm not sure that that release would have gotten people all excited over the possibility of Springer being in the movie.

Whether or not he was originally planned to be in the movie I think is largely speculation. I think maybe he was early on but was quickly dropped for whatever reason. Just like Stratosphere or Hound. At Hasbro's panel at SDCC, they said there were no plans to make any further Springers in the Movie line so you'll just have to be happy with the Legends one (or customize Incinerator from TF1).

Keep your hopes up for TF3 tho.
