I need some info from a TFCC member

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking of joining but I would like to ask some questions.

Are the nexus maximus figures still available to members?

If I become a member does this allow me access to purchase figures that you wouldn't find elsewhere?

If Nexus Maximus is available how much is it?

Would any members be interested in me paying them to purchase this for me I really just need the arms and leg?

If I do join, since it is past March, will I still get the exclusive figure for next year?

Nexus Maximus was "free" to members. your best option might be ebay. that is where i bought 80% of mine. there are a few member exclusives like the ugly Piranacon repaint and the energon hotshot repaint into nightbeat. you can make purchases without joining but you pay higher prices. there is also member exclusive content on the site but nothing you're really missing out on.

He's right, most of the exclusive content is meh. And all their actual exclusive figures are just repaints of other molds. I was lucky enough to get 2/3 combiner limbs I needed for bout half off at a sale they had awhile back. If you joined now you would get the free member exclusive when it comes out next year (whatever it might be).

Ultimately it is a nice community of fans and has some ok toys but I dont think its quite worth the price tag. My biggest gripe is that the club magazine is so incredibly short and bi-monthly.

Depends on what the figures are worth to you as to whether you want to pay. Usually the non-member price of an exclusive is about as much higher than a membership costs, so it makes sense to join and then buy a figure at member price, then at least you get the "freebie" and the bi-monthly comic too.

Right now I think Skyfall and Topspin is sold out on the club web site, but you can get it from ebay. The rest of them are available to members for $20 each. So with the $40 membership and $60 for the figures, you can get 3 of the 5 figures for $100!

There is currently no Skyfalls and ONE Topspin on ebay, for $89!

With the news on Punch/Counterpunch, I am definitely happy I'm a member now ;).

as a member you get the toys cheaper - being a non-member (because i'm in the UK) means i would have to pay a LOT for the toys - sell the toys to UK members (& other non-members around the world including the US) at a slight profit to cover some of your membership fees :rock
