The battle has been joined proper, with 3rd party companies left, right and centre putting out figures to fill gaps in Masterpiece collections. BadCube had already released Huff, Brawny, Backland, Wardog and the Evil Bug Corps, but Sunsurge is arguably their most ambitious stab at a slice of the MP market so far. For some time competing with Omnigonix’s Spinout (don’t get me started on that name), Sunsurge has comprehensively won the race to be the first MP-style release to homage the unforgettably yellow, self-adoring, other half of the most famous set of Cybertronian twins, Lamborghini Countach LP500S Super Tuning. To say that Sunsurge has been well received by collecto…

I've been doing a lot of repurposing lately with some weapons even modding a little here and there to give some of my Prime figures weapons they either don't have in toy form (or maybe not even in the show) to make them even cooler. Recent mods have included taking the exhaust nozzles from my Jetpowered Optimus custom last summer that were spare from the second Jetfire, some handle pieces from Wheeljack's swords, and gave Bulkhead some blasters. I got the Cliffjumper figure and the battle hammer just looked kind of off for Cliff, even for the FE version. So noticing that the sides can come off, I took it off and gave that piece to Bumblebee producing a melee weapon …

I'm interested in seeing side by side comparisons of all the Energon and SL figures. Please post comparison pictures here.

Come watch as I break down tips and advice for growing a successful Transformers collection!

Hardtop. Hardtop was one of the first Cybertron figures I actually picked up, turned over and read the box on. That was quite awhile ago. I was pretty leery about collecting a new line, so I put him back. Well, now that I'm hooked, I went back and picked him up today, and I'm glad I did. I like his form, he's compact, rugged, and has a decent color scheme. If this guy had been an Autobot, I'd almost call him Beachcomber. Ransack. This was probably the first figure I actually wanted when I looked at him...I kept looking at him and putting him back every time I went to Wal-Mart, Target, or TRU. Again, my only hangup was the fact I wasn't ready to start collectin…

Found a few Galvatron figures at Target in the greater Houston, TX area. None had the fixed shoulder assembly. Be aware that the inventory count for Galvatron on the Target handheld scanner will also include the number of Kingdom Ultra Magnus.

TRAILERS! Is it only me? I mean I just absoloutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the figures more than my mom. Sorry mom. Lol! In any case I think that they definately need trailers because #1 Prime without hist railer seems naked and #2 Ultra should have some distinction that seperates him from Prime aside from being gleaming white. He should have his body armor! There's a peg right where a trailer (specially made by Hasbro probably) can be hitched. Anyone else think that Hasbro will pull out a surprise and give us Prime and Magnus trailers or is this wishful thinking on my part? I needs muh trailers! :luv
