Optimus Prime

Just Prime, Convoy, Primal, Starsaber, and all the other Primeformers.

  1. The Transformers Classics Voyager Optimus Prime from 2006 has been made over so many times by Hasbro, Takara, BotCon, and a near-endless array of KOs. I have lost count of how many there are. It has become a strange obsession of mine to find them all, even the KO variants. Arguably, the most desirable Classics molds of all is the BotCon Timelines Shattered Glass Optimus Prime (Optronix) from 2008. Click Image to Read the Full News Story Now

  2. With it being Mother's day, it only seems fitting to take a shot of the original toy that gave birth, figuratively speaking, to one of the most iconic Transformers of all time, the Generation 1 Optimus Prime. There is a long evolution behind the toys that would become Transformers. Ironically, what was Takara's response to the then-popular Mech (human-powered) robots was the Diaclone Car Robots series in1982. Click Image to Read the Full News Story Now

  4. I could not help following up the previous Daily Prime with those Takara Masterpiece MP-1 Convoy trailers that I mentioned. What is worth noting is Takara did make a trailer for the MP-1 that was made of cardboard. It was included with the figure as part of the inner packing crate and had to be assembled by hand. 6. These little guys are a good example of the complications of collecting Optimus Prime. Between the many colors, characters variants and running changes, there can be more than meets the mold. Today's shot takes a look at a handful of figures based on the Generations Legends Optimus Prime mold. What originally appeared in 2011 under the Reveal the Shield line in 2010. 7. It is all just Prime to me be it big or small, dark or light, cheap and expensive they all have a place on my shelves. Truth be told, the only good choice is ALL when it comes to collecting. So for today's shot, we are taking a look at all of the Takara Super Collection Figure (SCF) figures that were made for the 1988 Super God Masterforce cartoon that was exclusive to Japan. 8. What's great about collecting Prime toys is the fact that you are not limited to just the Autobots. There is a lot to be had on the dark side of the Transformers Universe where we may encounter dark incarnations of Prime generally in the form of Nemesis Prime, but also as Scourge (Menasor), Shattered Glass, Black Convoy, and even Galvatron. 9. While fans run hot and cold on the Transformers Armada / Micron Densetsu cartoon. One thing most fans agree on is the toys were really good. From the little Mini-cons to the then rather strange Leader class figures, they are still on many collectors' shelves. One of my favorite Prime molds was what we came to call "Bendy" Optimus Prime for his excellent articulation. Click Image to Read the Full News Story Now

  10. Thank God It's Friday! After a long haul, it feels good to transform and drink up with Hoptimus Prime. No kidding, this is a real thing with people fabricating their own disguises out of beer boxes and cans to transformers themselves into an Optimus Prime inspired robot. Judging from the number of twelve-packs needed, these guys are going to learn what more than meets the hangover means after all that cheap beer. Click Image to Read the Full News Story Now
