  1. The Star Raiders (Seekers) added an interesting bounty hunter to their ranks with Legacy United's Lockdown, an obvious reuse of Axlegrease but effective. That said, the use of the ROTF live action head rather than Animated seems...baffling.
  2. Can't justify a 4 pack for one bot, but luckily I was able to get a load from a friend to have a ;look at Horri-Bull...proper, not that Titans Return poor excuse.
  3. Looked at the Studio Series Devastation Optimus last week, and am following it up today with the studio series ONE deluxe Optimus. He's hefty...but rough!
  4. I was super excited for a version of Widowmaker, even if called KSI Widow in Studio Series and using a different car mode than she was supposed to originally have (though I love a McLaren). Unfortunately, she is a huge failure and feels 10 years too late and two to three times overpriced...see for yourself.
  5. So, looked at the Bumblebee movie Energon Ignitors (Speed) Barricade and Bee, only seemed right to round out that trio with Optimus...who is the absolute drizzling shits, lol.
  6. While Unicron trilogy is usually outside my wheelhouse, I must admit, for a deluxe price point, Cybertron Excellion is tremendous, not perfect, but tremendous value and solid, SOLID fun.
  7. Though a long time coming, just as I did with Spinister and Quake, I opted to provide Needlenose with better versions of his target master partners, so using a couple of Siege battle masters, I painted up a new Sunbeam and Zigzag. Herein I also show all three double targetmasters all with their custom partners.
  8. The first of the original thirteen made by Primus himself is he who wields the powerful star saber and holds the origin matrix, of course I'm referring to Prima and the Age of the Primes version nicely mixes inspirations, watch for one potential QC issue though.
  9. Transformers Age of the Primes kicks off with AOPT leader class Megatronus the Fallen, who is shockingly terrific. We also compare him to the also fantastic Chaos Paladin.
  10. Overcharge...perfectly named because this transformers Legacy United release is absolutely under no circumstances a "Leader class" don't be fooled. It's a...fine voyger, I guess, but it sure is nice to have another addition to the Quintesson ranks...just gotta get rid of those pesky Decepticon symbols.
  11. Courtesy of Maximal10, and in something that I believe was sent my way to be very tongue-in-cheek I am digging back to Transformers Energon and the 2-pack of the oversized Minicon, Highwire and the single worst character in all of fiction, not just Transformers, by way of the G. I. Joe-esque o-ring version of none other than Kicker Jones...
  12. Transformers Earthspark, for all it's controversy, gave us the Terrans, the children of Quintus. Rounding the team is Hashtag. This is the Takara version, what Hasbro will use as their warrior class to connect with other warriors. No gimmick on this version...but we sure have one odd hinge because of said gimmick though.
  13. To my huge surprise, Legacy United Quake appeared on the fan voted worst list for 2024. While Heater and Tiptop leave MUCH to be desired, especially when I compare them to my custom Siege battle master versions, when I look at Titans Return next to the Legacy United Quake, I can honestly say both are great, neither is perfect but how wild is it that in the modern age we have TWO versions of Quake at all!
  14. While the live-action universe isn't my main collecting focus, after reviewing Studio Series 13 and 31, and handling the Dark of the Moon lad, I can honestly say that despite a couple of minor limitations, Studio Series 54 is a fantastic rendition of 07 Megatron!
  15. Normally, I look at multipacks all at once, but never have we had a version of Emirate Xaaron and this famed and inspirational Cybertronian orator not only founded the wreckers and rallied against Trannis, but this is his first time in plastic!
  16. Transformers Legacy United Geocron may be a mold mate to Bouldercrash, but what a fun little dude with a wicked color scheme!
  17. It's time to lay praise to the Lord High Govenor of Polyhex himself, Legacy United Straxus. Criticism will be met with swift cruelty (Maybe Trannis wasn't so bad after all)!
  18. Nothing says Happy Halloween like the half faced version of ole Stormbringer Bludgeon (who I plan to use as a different characters) and the trigger happy Triggercon Ruckus (always an exclusive, ain't it?) courtesy of the Doom N' Destruction Amazon 2-pack!
  19. Go for Gobots! Transformers Legacy United (eHOBBY inspired) Guardian trio of Pathfinder, Smallfoot and Treds, that is!
  20. Even pirates need creators and builders, enter the Transformers Legacy United Star Raider Ferak! A fantastic use of Kingdom Cyclonus with some newly molded parts!
  21. Transformers Animated introduced us to one of the coolest and most fierce versions of Megatron, what with his awesome dual-rotor attack helicopter alt mode. His leader class offering was (and still is) a glorious beast, indeed!
  22. The time has come to cover EVERYTHING about ole Transformers Studio Series 86 Optimus Prime, including comparisons to my customized Earthrise version with the alternate Second Chance trailer, which Megatron best matches for scale AND whether or not this lad is, in fact, a true blue Commander class!
  23. Can't believe I am about to say this, but going back in time to Stealth Bumblebee has shown me that newer isn't always better, this things obliterates the Studio Series offerings I have looked at for this same character. Might be the best live-action Bee I have ever handled.
  24. Kind of a 2-for-1 Friday with Transformers Animated Longarm...or Shockwave....or both!
