It's the logical guy with one big eye! Death reviews Masterpiece Takara/Tomy Shockwave! This one isn't another car, or F-15 fighter repaint - this one turns into a light-up laser cannon! It comes packed with accessories and improvements to the G1 figure. But are you sure you want to pay the price to buy this without it being an official Hasbro release? Let Death help you decide as he goes through the dizzying ups, the sickening lows, and the creamy middle! Should you wait for Hasbro and TRU to get this on the shelf....?

Hi, I'm new to collecting the TAKARA versions of figures, and now that I finally have spare money to afford TAV18 Drift, and TAV21 Optimus Prime, I can't find them for anything less than a 15-30 dollar markup. SO, my question is, given that these figures have been out for two months, are those the only prices I'm going to find from here on out? Or if I wait, will some of the shops who have them listed for a more reasonable markup *probably* get more in eventually? Again, I'm new to collecting the Takara version of the toys, and I'm am gravely concerned by how hard it is proving to find these toys suddenly at the shops I actually frequent, and FURTHER concerned by the *very* vague answers I've gotten from the shops that *have* responded to my emails about what the deal with them is. So yes, um... please help. Any advice or guidance from a TAKARA collecting veteran would be appreciated. EDIT: Erm... I may have posted this thread in the wrong forum... >_>" -
For the individual bots, I'd say the Hasbro and Takara versions are pretty much on par except for Silverbolt where I do prefer the Takara. But in combined mode, there is no question at all that the Takara is the better option. Looks bloody nice!! Stay tuned for full video comparison uploading now on the YouTube channel! :)

It's the first week of April, so time for my quarterly collection update vid! Had all sorts come in over the past 3 months, with MP and CW Transformers, 1/6th scale figures from Hot Toys and Sideshow, and the odd smaller scale figure and statue too. Here's my review of the new Transformers Masterpiece MP-24 Star Saber! I didn't expect it to run so long at 45 minutes, so I have rambled a little bit LOL!! But there were a lot of different things to go through with the figure. I still don't love the figure like I do the other MPs, purely because of my lack of nostalgia towards the character. But overall, it's still a pretty decent addition to the MP ranks. Hope you can check out my review, subscribe, like, and comment with your thoughts on this Autobot Commander :)

It's been a while since I went through my Transformers Masterpiece collection, and Maz from the TFSource forum inspired me with his term "Masterpiece Moment" to get my collection together.
