The moment of truth has arrived. While Dinobot Sludge is easily my favorite of the team, I have been VERY nervous about the Studio Series '86 version, what with the various reports of his neck yellowing, loose hips, awful knees, loose feet, and poor chest wings. Here's where I find out if my copy of my favorite Dinobot is a dud or a stud!

I don't normally review Cyberverse figures but I got this one from Target 20% off since couldn't find any other new products. Actually pretty cool collecting these dinobots. Sludge comes with removable tail that becomes a staff / weapon. And you can pull the back dinobot head down and watch Energon Armor flip over his head and chest. Not much on paint but any dinobot is a good dinobot! Enjoy the review...

Looking back at the Transformers Masterpiece Grimlock (The Toy R Us exclusive edition). I finally get to see how good this guy is and compare him next to the recent Studio Series 86 version. Interestingly, I see them as two distinct homages and which one will match your collection really depends on the homage you like best, and no, I don't just mean the difference between mainline and MP.

Studio Series 86 Leader Class Slug & Daniel Witwicky. Slug, or Slag as he used to be called, is very cartoon accurate in both modes. But this figure does have his problems, at least mine does. So far a peg has broken holding his faceplate and a horn has broken off. Not sure if QC issue or I just got a bad one. Still a very nice figure to add to any collection. Finally got dinobots in the proper scale
