  13. It's the logical guy with one big eye! Death reviews Masterpiece Takara/Tomy Shockwave! This one isn't another car, or F-15 fighter repaint - this one turns into a light-up laser cannon! It comes packed with accessories and improvements to the G1 figure. But are you sure you want to pay the price to buy this without it being an official Hasbro release? Let Death help you decide as he goes through the dizzying ups, the sickening lows, and the creamy middle! Should you wait for Hasbro and TRU to get this on the shelf....?
  14. Two GI Joe references in a Transformer - and a Powerglide Repaint/remold at that?!? OK, so it's a little wacky, but that is part of what makes this figure special. My detailed review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suUFGJLlcnY Subscribe at www.youtube.com/ebeforeinet

  17. Tarn is the leader of the Decepticon Justice Division, a group of Decepticons tasked by Megatron to hunt down traitors to the Decepticon cause. I usually don't create Decepticons, as I'm a big fan of the Autobots. But if you've been reading the current IDW Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye comic (You TOTALLY should be!), you know that Tarn is a unique character. Eclectic, intelligent and sadistic. I liken him to great villains like Hannibal Lector from Silence of the Lambs. Even though he's fearful and intimidating, your intrigued by his personality and, in some ways, his nobility. As well as his addiction to transforming and classical music. No to mention this evil bastard can actually TALK his victim to death. Tarn was created from Marvel Crossovers Hulk, Energon Bulkhead, Human Alliance Jazz and DotM Deluxe Class Ratchet. His head, dual fusion cannon, shin covers and feet were CAD drafted and 3D printed. His cannon contains 2 purple LEDs and his head contains a single red LED. Both have independent switches and power supplies. Tarn stands 8.05" tall from head to foot and 10.25" tall from cannon tips to feet. Additional leg articulation added at the knee, mid-shin and ankle make him very poseable. Combined with his 3-part ratcheting and adjustable 360º/ 180º/ 90º shoulder joints and 360º/ 90º rotating elbows give him a wide range of options when sitting him on your display shelf. Now available on eBay. Enjoy!
  18. This guy has a few problems, but none of them keep this toy from being fun. My full and detailed review of the Transformers Age Of Extinction Voyager Class Decepticon - GALVATRON
  19. Hi all, Here is a parody of Prime and Ironhide. Hope you enjoy!
  20. Here he is, finally complete. My first of many to come "Musclebots". The idea of these guys is to take the Autobots and Decepticons we all know and love, and completely change their alt modes as if they came to earth during the golden era of the vintage American Muscle car (1960's and 70's). First up we have Shockwave. When i first saw a picture of a purple 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda online, i immediately thought of Shockwave. Just the combination of the purple paint and that big aggressive grille which looks like G1 Shockwave's chest area, it was a perfect fit. So i got to work. I took a bog standard Alternators Shockwave/blast, bought a 1/24 scale plastic model kit of a Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda, and got to work cutting stuff up. Once the major building and fabrication work was done i moved on to paint. The real car has a very specific shade of purple which is called "plum crazy" purple. I could not find this shade ANYWHERE, and when i did it was waaay too much $$$ to buy and to ship, so i went to my old man and asked him if he could mix me up a custom shade. He mixed up a close to the original base coat, which i then lacquered and added some purple pearl powder to and it came out perfect! This is about as close as you can get to the real factory color and it looks awesome on the toy as you can see. The paint has been wet sanded and then buffed just like a real full-size custom paint job! Once the paint was done i airbrushed the side graphics and decided to give it a nice little custom touch, replacing the "Hemi" lettering with a painted on Decepticon logo. I then chrome-painted the bumpers, and added bare metal foil to the trim. I decided to give the hood an era-correct matte black paint job, and added some scratch built hood pins. Most of the interior was sacrificed for the build, but the interiors to Alts were pretty superfluous anyway so its no big deal. The wheels cannot rotate either, another sacrifice to keep the wheels from having pins drilled through them and ruining the look. The front wheels detach via strong rare earth magnets, as i had to make them that way because with the added width of the 1971 'Cuda body, the original wheels no longer fit next to the fenders behind the shoulders in the robot mode like they did on the original, much narrower Mazda RX-7 body. But as you can see, you cannot see any of these sacrifices when the piece is on display. Thanks for looking and dont forget to check eBay for Shockwave's auction soon! If you wish to contact me, please feel free to do so at dubcustomz@blueyonder.co.uk
