  1. Transformers Legacy United Magneous is a departure to the bots we know and love, but, man, he is magnificent!
  2. I wasn't sure if I wanted Transformers Legacy United Rescue Bots Chase, but after a couple of conversations where folks saw a Lockdown in this mold, I wanted to check it out. Love the look, love the leg transformation, but them shoulders...are...not great.
  3. Huge shout out to Ultra Megatronus for the early Christmas gift. Wheeljack is my guy but wasn't sure how I'd feel about the Bumblebee movie version. He sure captures the look of the character...then I got to that transformation...WILDLY excellent.
  4. This time I look at a real oddity of a legends Starscream. I'm unsure which particular version I have as this guy have several variants and was released multiple times from 2010 to 2017; from RtS to Chronicles, EZ Collection to being a dollar store release!
  5. As if the Studio Series 86 Dinobots aren't already impressive, enter the latest two upgrade kits for Snarl from Matrix Workshop and Tim heada. Only serves to make this dude beefier and more bombastic!
  6. I had never planned to look at the Transformers Studio Series Bumblebee Movie core class Shockwave, but here we are. This is awful for the Canadian MSRP of basically 20 bucks, taxes in, but for 4 bucks CAD at a dollar store? Sure. He scores...fine but I expect more and better from such a classic character.
  7. I have spent some time reviewing many a KO Beast Wars offerings and saved the wildly unexpected best for last with, get this, of all characters, K-9...go figure!
  8. Here's an oddball look at a KO Beast Wars T-Wrecks. I compare him to the original Megatron mold from the late 90's to see what was retained and what was lost. Even more odd is this character in fiction, I mean, leader of the "new" Dinobots...weird.
  9. I look at the last of the Beast Wars Neo knock offs with the resident Maximal horse - Mach Kick! Dude is definitely a mixed bag and while recognizable, there sure were a few liberties taken with the interpretation of the original mold, lol.
  10. Though Transformers Earthspark Nightshade isn't quite perfect, I do find myself smitten with the wide range of articulation, the metallic emeral-esque paint and regal owl alt mode!
  11. I reviewed the original RiD 2015 Strongarm (on loan) awhile ago. Somehow, this was a character I kept missing myself so I was pumped for this addition. Sure, lower body is more of the same but the upper body is quite different.
  12. Junk, garbage, Detritus...Legacy Evolution Detritus, that is. The logical pre-use of the highly-anticipated Buzzworthy Bumblebee Studio Series 86 earth mode Hound mold. I compare it to the Classics Hound and Siege Hot Shot too. It just so happens that this also works terrifically well for the Junkion merc seeking to overthrow Wreck-Gar!
  13. For life? Volvo is known for being built for safety, and the Autobot leader Optimus Prime is about as safe as I can think of. Herein, we compare the VNR 300 Optimus to the Earthrise version!
  14. A look at the new Transformers Legacy Evolution Medix, a Walgreen's exclusive in the US and Gamestop in Canada. I was super concerned as the chest of my Crankcase just plain doesn't work or stay tabbed. Maybe this dud will be more lucky!
  15. After Devcon, here's an off-the-wall-take on his buddy, Smokescreen...sorta...but way of the Cybertron Smokescreen, a body-type maybe best known for Crosswise. But Smokescreen is not only an homage to his G1 self but to another character as well!
  16. Transformers Legacy Evolution Axlegrease (often mispelled as Axelgrease) is more of an enigma than being a simple reuse. Besides new parts, this is the first Junkion gone Decepticon and/or COULD be also used as a certain Shattered Glass female Junkion!
  17. Looking at the Transformers Legacy Evolution Beachcomber (with Paradise Parakeet) and compare him to the POTP version...whom I consistently (and mistakenly) call the Titans Return!
  18. The trophy for bounty hunter good guy had to go to Devcon, specifically the long awaited Transformers Legacy Evolution Autobot Devcon version! We waited a long time but it was worth the wait!
  19. Transformers ROTF Skids and Mudflap started their somewhat controversial lives as a combined mode ice cream truck! Great alt mode but the real story is in the transformation and resulting scout-ish bots!
  20. Wasn't sure Transformers Studio Series '86 Wheelie was ever going to come to my neck of the woods, but here we are. It's time to look at Wheelie and see if he's a star! Uh-oh...
  21. Saw Rise of the Beasts, only seems fitting to finally look at the leader of the Terrorcons himself with Transformers Studio Series 101 Rise of the Beasts Scourge!
  22. If there is any Beast Wars character anywhere close to any annoying and frustrating as Wheelie, it has to be Stampy from Neo. THIS is a KO of that bunny bot. The original was anything but perfect, time to see how the KO fares!
  23. Went back and, wow, what a heck of a mold Transformers Universe Blades was (or Evac, Springer and SG Galvatron for that matter). THIS was when voyager meant somethin g, even if this is a shoehorned version of this classic character!
