  1. Is that just a head from a Cyberjet? Didn't they have tiny heads not on balljoints?
  2. ^ Don't beat yourself about it, bro, it's a craptastic mold.
  3. Why's Dunames a rare card? There was plenty of non-effect 1800+ cards that are common.
  4. WHY DO WE HAVE BOTH THREADS? Just remove one of them already and stick the thread where people give their verdicts on their newest transformers. Other people have said this before, I won't be the last to say it. C'mon, it'd be easy to do!
  5. ^ Wow, how'd you make Masterpiece Megs look so cool? :lol
  6. That means it's time to start spamming the fuck out of China.
  7. I guess I could've covered them with another flat LEGO piece. Hey, Optics, watch me try to get a rise out of this guy! It'll get a mod involved, we'll both be in trouble, and it'll be really cool and everything! FIX'D. You asked me to leave you alone several times: I have for the past several months. Don't make it impossible for me to honor your wishes by taking indulgent pot shots at me for no reason.
  8. Darn, I was hoping you'd cut off the LEGO pegs. Somehow those have a way of making EVERYTHING look at least 5% less cool.
  9. I like what you did with the crossbow. Do the guns clip onto the bottom or are they just wedged in there for the picture?
  10. ^ The head on that thing looks wicked!
  11. I'm only a little disappointed in Meg's arms, but that's quickly fading because I'm getting used to the limitations and how to work around them. One of my three has all three cannons and another has no cannons and quite a bit of his armor cut off so I can have a Pre-war Megatron. I still have a little bit of chopping to do on the face to make it look less evil and I plan on squaring off the bottom of his chest piece so he's not so angular. I'll also reprolabel an autobot symbol on his chest and add a canopy to his back so he can have a "car" mode. Without the cannon if you turn his alt mode around it almost looks like a racer of sorts.
  12. It does transform, just not for us puny humans.
  13. Animated Rodimus I picked up two of this guy, the last two at my TRU. I have to say, very nice. However, the mold seems to suffer from the same hit/miss QC issues that Animated Arcee did where either everything aligns PERFECTLY or everything's off by about a millimeter. I only intended to open one, but the first one didn't quite fit together right, despite my best modding efforts. I eventually caved and opened the second one, which was perfect. My advice if you find this guy in the store: Look for the one where the side panels line up the best. The first one I opened up was the least attractive of the two, the panels were showing gaps. I had intended to keep the one that looked perfect MISB. Ignoring QC issues, this is a fantastic mold. The car mode is fantastic, sleek and compact and the robot is well proportioned (despite how disproportionate the pictures made him look) and poseable. From what I can tell he's made of far sturdier plastic than the rest of animated and I don't think the way he snaps together will wear out for a long time. HFTD PayLoad (the LongHaul repaint) Kind of a crappy figure, though that might just be because it's a second run. The QC was poor and the plastic was slightly warped in places and felt cheap. He felt like a high end KO in every way: In design, in make, in plastic quality, and in looks. The only thing I REALLY like about this mold is how the truck bed can move. StarWars Crossovers Yoda Not a bad figure. He's short and stout and ADORABLE. His wing kibble is kind of annoying, but I just fold it down and back and pretend it's a cape facsimile and it doesn't bother me any more. His legs have limited poseability and they're blocked in places by his body. The same is unfortunately true for the arms, though to a lesser extent. Fortunately, he has plenty of nice, tight ratchets and big, wide feet, so he balances easily. He doesn't have much posability, but what he has he can use well. His transformation is quite well done and is fun to do. It's also done in such a way that I can believe the robot mode is really just Yoda in transformable armor, thus removing the WTF factor most SWTFs have. His jet mode looks really nice, with only two spots showing Yoda's green. Do I reccomend him? Watch a video review and see if there's anything you like. I like him, but I don't think most people will. HailStorm Neat little guy. I like his transformation and robot mode, although he is a little back heavy. It's his alt mode where I take some issue. Essentially, his legs don't really peg into anything and can shift around easily, which offsets the treads. I would have liked it if one of the feet had a fold out peg. I like him and I recommend him, just be warned that if you have OCD like I do you might find him a little frustrating. Sidearm Sideswipe OH MY GOD THIS GUY IS AWESOME. His car mode is well balanced and fits together just about perfectly. His transformation is involved, intuitive, and the only downside is that it's over so soon. Oh, and the head catches from time to time. His legs don't quite have the posability I'd like and his head is kind of small, but otherwise his robot mode is perfect. It's stable, well balanced, and the arms do everything the old DLX version lacked. This guy is 100% awesome. WFC Megatron The best of my recent haul. His robot mode is big, intimidating and awesome. His legs allow for almost any pose, with feet that can angle in almost any direction. His arms, while a little limited, still allow for MANY characterful poses and expressions. His head is spot on and menacing, although I wish it were on a balljoint so it could have just that little bit extra expression in it. His transformation is quick and seamless. His tank mode is nice, although a little underwhelming. It's not bad, which is all that I require since the robot mode is so awesome. I tend to keep the tread pieces of his arms together in alt mode, though with his hands folded up, and the elbow bent all the way so the treads are under the tank and angling up the cannon. The red is turned out, by the way, when I do that. He can't roll, but he look like a pretty cool artillery piece. This guy is a must have.
  14. ^ That is an excellent mold. The legs and how they transform and pose are AMAZING. Just watch out for the chest, it doesn't lock in and might need a little bit of modding to be solid.
  15. "Who/Whom" is easy. "Who" is used for the nominative case, "Whom" is used for the dative, accusative and ablative cases. For a full declension of "who," see: Nominative: Who Genitive: Whose Dative: to/for Whom Accusative: Whom Ablative: by/at/which/when(etc.) Whom Vocative: Who The nominative case is used to denote the subject of the sentence, while the genitive case shows ownership. The dative case indicates the indirect object (I.E, I gave the box to him. "I" is the subject, "Gave" is the verb, "The box" is the direct object and "him" is the indirect object) and the accusative case indicates the direct object (see above example). The ablative case is a bit more tricky, since it has so many uses, but it tends to indicate direction, location or agency (I.E,"I sent him off west," "He is at home," "He came by car"). However, I personally tend not to use "whom" simply because it doesn't roll off the tongue quite so easily as "who." It disrupts the rhythm of my speech and sounds awkward, though that's partly because it has fallen out of usage in general and my ear isn't tuned to the word. I fu*king AGREE!!!!!!!!! :mwahaha Except "Hasbro" is the equivalent of a collective noun. Example: "My family is awesome." "Family" is singular, even though it refers to multiple people, it is a singular unit. "Is" is appropriate. In contrast: "The families are at war with each other." Here we are referring to TWO units of multiple people, so "are" is appropriate. Considering that the name Hasbro is referring to a single unit of type "company," "is" is correct. You can also raise the point "Well, some companies only consist of a single person," which is fairly common. HA! And you said that you weren't a grammar NAZI!! *facepalm* Dude, there's no shame in knowing your native language through and through. I only complain at you from time to time because you don't put enough effort in your posts for them to be regularly coherent. YES, but- you said that you are not a grammar NAZI, and YOU ARE. So just keep it real, and I will work on making everything that I post more thought provoking for you !! NOT!!!!!!!! *facepalm* Are you even trying to understand the things I say or are you just skimming, looking for anything to take out of context to support whatever you've decided you already want to say about me? Because I'll tell you now, you've understood nothing I've said, ever. I'm done with this shit.

  18. Scout class Hubcap: This guy is nice. He also pisses me off. It's not Hubcap himself that makes me mad, it's that more deluxe figures can't be more like him. Lemme put it this way: He uses universal joints for his shoulders and hips. And he's a Scout class. HasTak can fit universal joints this solid on a figure this tiny; there's no DAMN reason for ball joints to be used on major limbs anymore. Here's something else, though: The hips are RATCHETED. It's unreal, his joints are built like he's a Voyager class figure. In fact, upscale this guy up to Voyager size and I'd buy him. Of course, I'd like a few more paint apps, for the feet to have some side to side poseability and for the calf kibble and chest piece to lock into place, but, otherwise, very little else would need to be done to him for him to be one of the best Voyagers in years. It's unfortunate that the chest piece doesn't lock into place, though it does friction into place very nicely and it wouldn't be too difficult to glue some small tabs to Hubcap's back for the hood to rest over, which would work as a nice locking mechanism. The car mode on this guy is freakin' awesome. The red is a little bland, but who cares? Aside from the GPS infested Laser Rod figures, maybe some obscure G1 figures and one or two Gobots, I don't know of ANY other old timey style car transformer like Hubcap. He's just awesome and he's worth it for the alt mode alone. The excellent robot mode and fun transformation are just the icing on top. EDIT: Forgot, I also got two other things: Scout Class Brimstone: Sexy bike mode, cool, evil looking robot mode. He's neat and I like to fiddle with him, but he's nothing compared to Hubcap who I ADORE. PCC Bombshock: The drones don't like to stay on... I alleviated that a little bit by using super glue to thicken the blue pegs. The scout sized dude's decent, though the vehicle mode is tiny and lame. I like the robot mode well enough, he looks very characterful. His tiny head is charming. The draw of this set for me is the combined mode. Unlike the instructions, I don't peg the thigh part of the commander figure into the hip guards. Instead I use the joint the combination points use to flip out as knees and retain the entire poseability of the legs. I ended up actually chopping off the hip guards so they wouldn't get in the way of the legs. Also, the jeep leg piece, if you use it as the instructions tell you, will flop a lot and ruin this guy's ability to stand. What you should to instead is use his rotating missile rack thing as a pair of toes, which works really well. I actually plan on getting a second of this guy so I can have a symmetrical Bruticus.
  19. Increase the ISO on the camera, make the picture size bigger so you can scale down to get rid of the grain, turn on all the lights in the room, color correct the photo after you take the picture.
  20. GOOD GOD, MAN, DON'T USE THE FLASH. Otherwise, nice.
  21. WFC Prime: He's a pretty vanilla truck and his robot mode looks nice, although it's a bit too crowded, especially in the shoulders and legs. The transformation is nice, but there's nothing in it that tickles my fancy. I think I'd like it more if he were a size class larger. Too much packed into too small of a package: Everything suffers for the quantity and nothing besides the durability is done exceptionally well. He's good, a solid 8/10, but he doesn't brighten my day, if you know what I mean. WFC 'Bee: 'Bee is s super sexy little pill bug shaped car. It's sleek and round and fun to roll around. He's a bit of a shell former, but enough happens that it's not boring. Unlike Prime, his transformation is quick and easy while still being intricate and deep. The robot mode is nice and big, although he does look a bit too childlike for my taste with his big, doofy, happy face and his clown shoes and lockdown hands. I think if he had a bit of a furrowed brow he'd look much more awesome. I don't mind his backpack too much, that's how he looked in the game. I just wish that the gap between his chest and backpack had been filled somehow. Over all he's much better than Prime in that he knew what he was going to do and what he wasn't going to do: a much more focused transformer with better results. HA Jazz: Jazz has a sexy car mode. Jazz has a sexy robot mode. Jazz has a fucking terrifying transformation. Why? Because his goddamn windshield is the only structural joint between the front/top and back/bottom halves. It's so easy to accidentally put pressure on the windshield that I have to spend more time than I'd like on transforming him just to ensure I don't stress the windshield. Is it as bad as I'm making it out to be? No, the windshield is probably made of decently durable translucent plastic and it's curved, so it's much stronger than just a flat piece. It still worries the fuck out of me. Aside from his transformation, Jazz is amazing. Great articulation, great aesthetics, and a truly novel weapon. HftD Screamer: I love this guy. He has a big, heavy jet mode that looks amazing and a big, bulky robot mode that articulates like crazy. His transformation is fun and he's all around satisfying. The only thing I don't like is how the crotch piece connects to the upper body, it wiggles too much and I feel someday, like within two or three years, it will wear out too much and leave his lower body a floppy mess. I'm sure I could fix it, but it's still annoying. Hopefully my fears are unfounded, because he's too awesome.
  22. I actually ended up taking the windows out. The Pontiac Solstice mode now has its windows rolled down. As far as Jazz's imperfection... It's how easy it would be to simulate his fate. I mean, really, the only thing holding his guy's two halves together is his WINDSHIELD, which isn't too bad, considering it's curved plastic, but it's still worrisome.
