  1. HA! Good one, 08 Bumblebee doth speak the truth. Can't tell you how happy I was to find him in stores, even if it was for $12 instead of the regular 10.
  2. Keep forgetting to post this one, found it thru Google:
  3. Pretty simple. You just remove his head (remove the screw on the back of his head and separate the halves a little and pop it off) and carve out some space behind and below. The white vertical piece behind his head has a horizontal ridge, just shave it off and scoop out a little depression in that area. Trim the gray piece that his head mounts to behind the ball joint stud. Lastly, I trimmed down the bottom of the back of his head, the orange clear part. Keep test fitting as you go and you'll see what needs to be trimmed. The result is a nice horizontal and even slightly upward-lookign head. Sweet. HTH
  4. Movie Deluxe Wreckage! The last Dx I've gotten from the first release, he's very cool. Makes me wish I hadn't waited so long. Went to Kohl's looking for 08 BB, but saw his and decided to go for it. Did the head/neck mod so he can look straight ahead, and even a little upward. Working on some poses, he's pretty bendy, love the double-jointed elbows. EDIT- forgot to mention his quick-draw stance. You leave his blades folded and stored in robot mode, w/ the blade "carriers" on his legs folded out. His hands can then be positioned in the right spot to grab the stud on the blade handle and whip it out, looks like an Old West gunslinger: Of course, you'll need a little imagination to picture how he would flip the blade handles over and mount them to the underside of his arms, but you see what I'm getting at...
  5. Awesome! I'm dying to get Soundwave (and now Blaster, too, ugh) so I can put them all together like that. Nice colelction there.
  6. After hitting Walmart and Target, stopped at TRU in Woodridge, IL, and found Longarm, Payload, and Arcee. Had I gone there *first*, I could have gotten 08 Bumblebee- I saw a guy with the last 2 in his cart. Grrrr... EDIT- they also had Final Battle Jazz; meh.
  7. Robo Treplicas Bumblebee. I mean, Robot Replicas. :tftongue He's pretty cool, not as much articulation as I was expecting, tho. Fixed some of that with a sharp blade. :07dance
  8. Two mail-order beauties for me today: -movie Voyager Starscream, much bigger than I thought, esp. the robot mode. Crazy kibble in jet mode, won't be seeing that too often. -Alt Rodimus, several days earlier than I thought he'd be here from HTS. He is way-way cool. Flip-down visor? Yu-huh! :07dance
  9. The Hallmark Keepsakes Optimus Prime ornament!! $15 at American Greetings atStratford Square Mall, Bloomingdale, IL. It's beautiful, and an extremely accurate repro of the 20th anniv. Prime, right down to the bumper visible inside his chest and the detail on his lower back. Made of a rubbery plastic, he's not poseable but it almost feels like you could twist the arms loose and have them at least turn at the shoulders. Not gonna try it tho.
  10. Hey, mine came today too! Amazon.com, $4- you too? I love him, awesome articulation, and a cool, tough stance. He can do Elvis karate kicks, he can even kneel down. I already modded his knees to bend juuust a teeny bit more, and his head so it can be a little more level (just carved out the back of his head a little bit, and flattened out the piece behind his head- barely did anything, sad to say). I'm surprised he was around so long, he really is a great fig.
  11. Congrats!! If you want to sell one, let me know! :tfgrin Same here, might be interested. And congrats, how'd you do it?!
  12. OK, now tell us where you found your wife! Lucky man... :thumb
  13. Picked up Swindle at Aldi of all places, for $9. He's got great robot details, esp. the waist and forearms. Wish I were good enough w/ a brush to paint them. Got Alt Ravage from our very own STPrime- great seller, BTW. Ravage kicks all form of alt-mode ass! Looks like a high-quality die-cast model. Great robot-cat mode, which didn't stop me from modding the hind legs so he can sit better. Love the missiles in car mode. Expecting Classics Mirage and Jetfire in the mail this week, from HTS and another TFans member (can't remember his name OTTOMH, sorry), respectively. Then I really gotta cool it w/ the TFs for a while, yikes!
  14. Wow, those 2 pics in particular have a great Frank Miller, "Sin City" quality. Awesome work, bro. :thumb
  15. FAB Frenzy at Target in Arlington Hts, IL, NW of Chicago. Last one on the shelves, , sorry. He's pretty cool except for the massive backpack/head growth and the chicken legs, necessary, I imagine, to balance said backpack and head. The arms and legs are pretty cool, tho, very mechanical looking. I can't say I like the way he's eyeballing my PC, tho... Also got the last 4 Burger King TF toys in one swell foop! I'll post a review of all of them soon.
  16. Well, now Ironhide's got the bloodlust, you gotta give him something to shoot! No humans, tho.
  17. Sorry for the lousy phone pic, but I'm stoked beyond words! I had forgotten how BIG this thing is! The box is the size of my first apartment! THANK YOU HASBRO TOY SHOP!! EDIT- in case anyone's curious, yes, this bad-dog is getting opened up and played with tonight! Woo-hoo!
  18. actually he is not only THAT cool but he is even cooler. Wow, which Rodimus is that? Not Alt, right? Classics? Very cool, and a great pose too.
  19. "Yes, we're dressed alike, and no, we're not twins."
  20. Classics Ultra Magnus, gathering his thoughts before battle:
  21. DragonX, that's a cool scene you've got there! What are those base pieces? Are they from some kind of Gundam diorama? Great tech shots, saved!
  22. Great little clip, man! Such patience, couldn't do it myself. Nice work. :thumb
