  1. I think that it also comes in the traditional Iron Man colors as well.

Overall, the Captain America mech suit is pretty nice... it fits a standard figure inside, and the articulation is average - neck swivels, shoulders, elbows, and wrists all turn. The legs move at the hips, and the ankles pivot, but the fact that it's a mech suit limits the legs a bit. For example, there are no knees.

It comes with tons of interchangeable missile pods and guns, but it was also a bit light on the paint details. I had to paint the eyes and the gatling gun muzzle red, and the belt buckle and hand repulsers yellow. They are minor details, but it helps. I also added the "shield" on his back from the Captain America Transformer Crossover, and I used the Iron Patriot figure instead of the standard Captain America that it came with.

Here is a few more shots after the paint apps:

  2. It's really not that bad in vehicle mode... I'll try to post a pic soon.

My friend picked up a Kre-O Bumblebee set for my birthday, but he didn't know that I already had one. But I was still able to use the spare parts!

What do you think of the improved Bumblebee?

Changes made to his car doors, shoulders, and feet... and bulked up the arms and legs a bit.

    Here is the first version:

  3. Technically, no... but I've had the black and chrome symbol on the plate for about a year with no problems.

As long as the numbers aren't obstructed, I don't see any issues. :)

  4. Thanks!

I just started finding the Prime figures, and so far WJ is my favorite. :)

The Maketoys Giant figs are pretty nice too:

How's the plastic quality and overall feel of these? I originally planned on getting these instead of Hercules because of the price, but these are not cheap at about $50 USD a pop either...

Actually, the quality is really good and I am glad that I picked them up.

The engineering is nice, the quality is solid, and the poseablility is amazing. The only two complaints are the kibble on their backs from the "Giant" arm connections, and that they are a little smaller than I would have liked them to be. Think scout size in vehicle mode, and just about deluxe size in robot mode.

In my opinion, I like Hercules in combined mode better... but we will see as the rest of this group comes in stock and I can complete the rest of the Giant.
