  1. Bah, yeah I was wondering about the dye combining (yellow + blue -> green) or what. Well, nonetheless, appreciate all of the insight here.
  2. Can you possibly give some advice as to how much "just under boiling" you want it to be? Say like 210 deg F or 200 deg F etc? I might want to try measuring.
  3. Sounds like the process will be somewhat incremental -- so for the darker blue you could probably not leave it in as long to get the desired color. I am pondering dying my spare Cy Swindle to turn into Beachcomber but am pretty nervous about it. I had tried dying some KOs just to test and it worked poorly... but I probably did not have the water hot enough.
  4. I made it to a TRU last night to pick up some new figures. Got six packs of Robot Heroes (all they had). Not really interested in the Prime/Unicron or Jazz/Thundercracker as much. Was hoping B&M stores would have the "buy $25 get a real gear figure free" offer but they were not... ah well.
  5. Went to the Wildwood Peddler's Fair (flea market) this weekend. Nothing much interesting. Saw a pretender shell, no robot inisde. A few Beast Wars missing parts. Armada Blurr and En Inferno. Whoopie.
  6. Ha, you got Leobreaker and Wing Saber on at the same time. Nice! Did you mean you missed the smaller Cyb Starscream or the giant one? I have a spare of the giant one MIB if you are interested :)
  7. Saw Robot Heroes at Century 3 Walmart. Solscud007 also saw them at North Versailles WM. I did not buy any but Solscud007 said he tried and was told they could not sell them til June 2. WTF?
  8. Major classics score, discounted! At Target stores. Off Camp Horne Rd. exit of 279 north: Mirage ($5) North Hills Village (I think that's what it's called): extra CJ, 2 Ramjets ($5 each), extra Jetfire ($10)
  9. TRU at Century III has the Protoform Prime and Starscream.
  10. Today's trip to the Monroeville area was a dud. At the Target there, they had no Classic Deluxes - the only ones I am still looking for. (They did have some of the mini-cons and Primes.) TRU there had nothing new or interesting. Monroeville and Penn Hills Big Lots had none of the KO LoC figures.
  11. Just picked up Classics Mirage and CJ, as well as three mini-con packs. Thank you, Target clearance!
  12. Pittsburgh: Waterfront Target: 30% off Classics as reported elsewhere here. I picked up Mirage, CJ ($7 each), and the last 3 mini-con packs ($5 each). They had a bunch of Primes, Ult. Battle 2-packs, and a few Megs ($14 each for these). Oh, and more Mirages.
  13. How much was Kmart charging for the protoforms? I actually live in Pittsburgh, was just visiting. I'm not sure where exactly the Target was that I went to. My mother-in-law said it was built within the last year, if that helps.
  14. I was in the Harrisburg/Lancaster area for the weekend. Actually all of the toy shopping I did was disappointing. Lancaster: Park City Mall TRU Nothing interesting! They did have two Ti Soundwaves. Harrisburg: Target and Walmart. I want to say they were on or near route 322 but I really do not know my way around there. Anyway they had nothing interesting! Back in Pittsburgh - Waterfront Big Lots. None of the $2 LoC KOs at all. Man I don't think I have ever found any good toys at that store.
  15. Mmmmm, SoC. I wish I could justify sinking the money into those - or that they cost less.
  16. Big Lots C3 Mall had Universe Aerialbot micromasters $4 each. Universe Sharkticon plus the 3 Energon combiner leaders $8. The double size LoC KOs for $2 each - this was all I bought (some for me and some for Solscud). Plus walmart there had a TON of Ravage and Rumble. I broke down and bought them.
  17. Target in Erie, PA has the new 4-pack Target Exclusive LOC set (Cyb Jetfire, Megatron, Prime, Soundwave). Bunch of them. Think they were actually by a front register, not in the toy section.
  18. I can confirm that the new Alts were not yet out at the C3 Walmart when I was there this weekend.
  19. Targets at CIII and the Waterfront have the Ultra Magnus / Skywarp 2-pack marked down to $14. Plenty of the set at both stores. If I see it at half off I will snap them up :)
  20. For anyone in the Pittsburgh area or willing to travel there... forum member Solscud told me about a toy show in Monroeville this weekend. http://www.pittsburghtoyshow.com/ I'm not really looking for anything myself, but will probably still go. Good hunting luck all!
  21. Same TRU that Solscud mentioned has Ti Starscream and Fire Convoy now. (I passed on both, not really feeling that much into Ti right now)
  22. Target at the Waterfront here in Pgh had some Cybertron (but not all) half off. Two metroplex $20 ea. Repugnus and Backstop 3.50 or so I guess. The deluxes however were not half off.
  23. For anyone with an earless Ratbat you can also get KO ears :)
